"Great experience never been to a color bar before, tavia the manager was very nice and welcoming. We’ll recommend to try a color a bar if haven’t, we’ll let me friends and family know to join the membership it’s is worth it"
"I was ten minutes late to my appointment today because parking was terrible - a floor of the garage was closed. I was within the ten minute rule for being late though and waited behind two other people to get checked in. By the time the attendant named Anissa was able to help me two minutes later she announced to all that I was late and that they had cancelled my appointment. I reminded them that the garage was having issues and that I actually was in the door within the ten minute window and she said sorry, we’re really busy today AND that they were charging me the $20 cancellation fee on top of it!! I walked out the door and then came back and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the manager was out sick today and that the assistant manager was on a lunch break. I called to speak with a district manager and was refunded the $20 but this has left a terrible taste in my mouth. I have been coming here for YEARS. I will not be back."
"Toner was okay. My blowout was less than mediocre and the stylist Destiny had an attitude the whole time she was blowing out my hair. Swinging my chair roughly. Passive aggressive af. I had to tell her which parts to retouch. She's black she knows better. I will not return and I don't recommend."
"I switched to the Walnut Creek Madison Reed after several bad experiences at the San Ramon location. I am so pleased that I made the switch. The energy is calm, the staff are pleasant, knowledgeable, and customer oriented. I love the way my hair looks with the Madison Reed color. I have also had a balayage and highlights added. I am thrilled with the results. The Madison Reed color is much less toxic that traditional color so my hair is very healthy now. The balayage and highlights are a little harsh on the hair but for me it’s worth it. I recommend getting the free color consultation. You’ll need to manage your expectations if you have dark hair. Madison Reed cannot make your hair lighter or blonde but can add highlights and or a toner. I highly recommend the Walnut Creek Madison Reed location."
"Horrible experience, my hair is totally ruined and bleached patches. I had an appointment on 7/6 at 11 am at their SR location. From my understanding you can not reserve a specific tech and their techs are cross working in different location. Please see pictures-this is what I ended up with! How can your “licensed” tech can so messed up simple partial highlights?? MR corp team reached out to me today offering to return to the tech who ruined my hair and fix my overprocessed and dry hair for free (no offer of refund)! No, I do not want to end up totally bald, you already burned my hair so badly! Now it will cost me another $300 at normal licensed salon to fix this mess! Reply: this was done at your San Ramon location, but it’s the same 1800 number for both location and belong to the same Corp. I was told that Sheila Burns, the lady who did this to my hair is working at your Walnut Creek location. When I requested so see her State issued License, apparently they did not have it on file! It looks like your stylists do not have state mandated Barber and esthetician license to perform the job."
