Reviews of Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services
"I’m pretty certain Ridgeview saved my life. After having a traumatic and overall terrible experience with Peninsula a few years prior, this place gave me faith not only for myself but for others that make the scary walk into the doors of a facility. The staff and doctors were nothing short of kind, relatable and compassionate. I truly felt safe and cared about in their hands. I also valued my time with the other patients there- inside and outside of group therapies. They have so many books, games, puzzles and a plethora of crayons and paper- and as silly as that sounds, it was healing to ground myself with those things. The facility was also clean and accommodating when it came to food or dietary needs. If you’re needing help and are in the Knoxville area, this is the place to go. I’m so grateful for all of the support I’ve gotten with them and continue to get through outpatient programs. Thank you Ridgeview. Shout out to the individual that did all my intake. He was funny, informative and made everything feel so peaceful. I wish I could recall his name. He relieved every bit of internal anxiety I had going in after a negative experience with Peninsula. I will never forget him."
"I would recommend highly NOT to go with this company. My husband was made to go through this service and his job required the doctor to sign a form for the visit. He had turned in the form and only had 15 days to get it back or lose his job. After multiple times going back to the Oak Ridge center he kept getting told to come back as no one had filled out the form. In short he lost his job due to their negligence. If you are needing treatment for mental health, go else where as they will make it worse for you. Its hard to recover from anxiety and depression and they ensure you will have both. As to the response for the post 04 12 2023, it is nice that you give a response back and encourage someone to contact in the review response. It really means nothing to be able to respond after he had lost his job. The staff should have taken his need more seriously before that happened not after. If you care about your patients well being, please train your staff to be proactive and not reactive. These are people's lives that are affected by your neglect. Its better that you start treating these people like they matter and not just another number you have to move through your system. Really have compassion for these people and treat them as if you would yourself if you were in their shoes. Thanks for your response."
"I went here last year in August and all I need to say is it deserves 10 stars. The staff was very friendly and I’m very sad I don’t remember 2 of their name because there was this staff male with brown hair he made me feel very comfortable being there when I came in anxious. And a female nurse with curly blonde hair who I drew a picture of a dog for and we bonded over our fur kids. I recommended my friend to go there so when I go with her maybe I’ll see them so I can point them out to her. Them two made me feel like I wasn’t a waste of life so that’s why I literally had to leave this review. The food could be improved and the beds but I am still very grateful for this place."
"Look! I've read the reviews, I've been a "patient" in this facility twice! Both times I was accepted and received immediately late night and within 1 hour of arrival, I Knew, I was where I was supposed to be! I felt...cared about! Bottom line! , No doubt from that time on , I realized it's up to me from this point on! Dennis,! Your decision!!? The place was truly a best experience for me!! I appreciate All the staff at Ridgeview!! Thanks to each and every one of you for caring!"
"I don’t understand the bad reviews. This place is what YOU make of it. If you are determined to hate it then you probably will. I was taken by police against my will. I went in so distraught and irritated about having to be there. But within a few minutes to an hour I felt sooo much better. The staff treats the patients like gold in my opinion. Everyone was great to me. Also all the other patients were solid people and very kind to each other. Anytime you need to talk someone is available. They are pretty much constantly checking to make sure you’re doing okay. The groups were so helpful and they really lifted my mood and they were honestly fun. Shout out to a specific nurse, Lindsey. She sat down with me and talked to me for like 2 hours one night when I was super depressed. She made some great points that I would’ve never realized without her input. They got my me on mood stabilizers which I’ve probably needed the better part of my adult life but no doctor ever suggested it to me. They may have saved my life. If I was in crisis this is where I’d go every time."
