"What an amazing salon! Visited Berkeley last week from Boston, my friend highly recommended Lunar Hair Salon to get my hair refresh. I am absolutely love it and highly recommend to you all. From the front desk to the assistants to both of the stylists that I saw, Allen and William, my stylist and colorist—they were absolutely amazing. They took their time and executed my haircut and color with delicate care. Coming in, my hair was damaged and brassy but leaving Lunar Hair Salon, my hair became brightened and healthy with the exact color and tone as I requested. Allen cut my hair and I absolutely love It! One of the best cuts I have ever received. Both stylists took their time and really perfected everything. The treatment they recommended was fantastic!! I will definitely be returning when I back to the area!!!"

"First-timer here. Like others have said, it may not appear like much on the outside at first glance. But once I entered, the hair salon appeared clean and chic. After checking in for my appointment, I waited for about 10 minutes before a staff member whisked me away to get my hair washed. I didn't expect this perk, but the wash was thorough and relaxing. After the wash, I was taken to the booth to meet my barber Stanley. Stanley is, without a doubt, a true professional. From the moment our session started, he immediately assessed my hair, head shape, and style preferences that I had in mind. After asking for his input, he provided a few suggestions on what would work best given the canvas he was provided (AKA the big head I own). He was very attentive & detailed during the haircut, and took the extra time to instruct me step-by-step on how I can style my hair afterwards, including what products to use and when. I appreciated his candor and his ability to talk at the appropriate time to make me feel at ease during my first visit. Once the haircut was finished, I was once again whisked to the back for another delightful wash (!) and final trim + styling by my barber. All-in-all, I spent about 1.5 hours at my appointment, and it was a treat. As pricey as it may seem, I felt like it was worth the self-pampering/self-care I was in desperate need of. Expect to take about 2 hours out of your day if you decide to come here to account for any potential increase in wait-time. I plan to come back soon, and am happy with the experience. "Worst experience ever at lunar hair salon. I had high hopes for getting my hair toned, but things did not go as planned. Before I arrived, I communicated with the salon about my desire to get my hair glossed. They seemed to understand my request, but when I got there, they told me they couldn't do it because l didn't provide a photo that was shot directly overhead. To make matters worse, the hairdresser they assigned to me was a newbie who did not seem to know how to cut hair properly. He took only 10 minutes to cut my hair, yet I was charged an exorbitant $70 for the service plus tips. I couldn't believe I had driven almost 30 miles to get there and paid so much for such a poor service. I felt like my request was not taken seriously and that the salon did not live up to their promise. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for quality service at a reasonable price."
