"The receptionists were good, Dr. Oka was good. I went in for teeth extractions and I chose local instead of general. I was a bit scared at first since I knew I was going to be awake and be able to hear everything. It turned out that Dr. Oka was sooo quick that my fears didn't even get enough time to develop. The holes healed quickly also. Good overall experience."

"I am a local resident currently attending college. 5 months ago, Dr. Oka removed a cyst improperly which left a hole in my lower lip, such that the lower right lip no longer properly attaches to it's top counterpart. This is known as a whistle deformity. In short, I have a big hole in my lip because of his negligence. This cyst was only minorly bothering me but he left me with a much worse aesthetic and functional result (I only had a problem inside my lip before), and I believe he removed far too much tissue. I trusted Dr. Oka and he failed me and his medical profession by failing to see that his surgery made my situation far worse than it should have been. He should not have done this surgery. As someone who used to aspire to medicine, I have internalized an important lesson that I will share to everyone. Do your due diligence. Given the casatrophe that Dr. Oka provided me, I am the young 21 year old tasked to navigate the field of reconstructive lip surgery usually serving older patients dealing with cancerous lesions."

"Dr. Oka is professional, polite, very informative, kind and an excellent dental surgeon. I am very lucky to have found him and that he is so close to my house. I was completely comfortable talking to him and having him do a tooth extraction under sedation. Unfortunately for me, I have to see him again to have another tooth extracted. But I would be dreading it if it weren’t for the fact that Dr. Oka was going to do it. He even has a place for a patient to lie down after the extraction if they have been sedated. Because of this my husband doesn’t have to hire someone to help drag/pull me out of the car when we get home. A periodontist in Hayward not only kicked us out of his office immediately after my surgery but didn’t warn us that we should bring someone along with us that could help my husband get me out of the car. We are in our 70s so it’s not easy to get me out of the car when I’m half sedated and basically dead weight. Also, I’m handicapped and the surgeon in Hayward knew that. So I really appreciate Dr. Oka and the care he took with me from the moment I contacted him with loads of questions before I came in for my consultation."
