Reviews of KARM Stores
"Honestly disappointed in this store , it was very expensive. Pricing shoes for over 80$. $15 for very worn shoes. Blankets were outrageously priced, $10+ dollars. We wanted to get this cute piggy bank but for $8 I could get it brand new Hats for colder weather couldn’t have been more expensive.. $9 for a cheap hat ? Again could get it cheaper elsewhere. They even had the audacity to price a mixer for $85 Would not recommend to anybody trying to find decently priced thrifted item. Very disappointed. Staff was kinda friendly but kept rushing us out because they randomly wanted to change the closing time from 9PM to 7PM. You should update google as this is a visitor town obviously I don’t know it randomly changed."
"Hands down one of my most favorite shopping places in the world! Its like one huge yard sale that alternates inventory daily! Their stock consist of all donated items...You Never know what you will find! Always an adventure and never do I walk out without less then 2 bag's and always a smile knowing I got some really cool stuff for prices that are very affordable and always a happy heart knowing what I did spend will be helping feed the hungry in our local areas! Love my KARM stores!!!"
"Do not even bother with this location the ladies that work here are the rudest women I have ever came across. No southern hospitality at all and their prices are outrageous. They try to sell everything more expensive than you would find things brand new. Go to the locations in Knoxville or in Lenoir City, the ladies are friendly they are so helpful and the prices are reasonable for a resale store."
"The establishment did not seem to provide a welcoming environment for individuals of Hispanic descent. Upon entering, we were promptly informed by a female employee that the bathroom was closed. Later, when my son picked up a plush toy, another female employee asked if it had a tag and then proceeded to inform us of its price, which was $22. However, when my son decided not to purchase the item, the employee took it from him and concealed it behind the counter, as if we were potential thieves. These actions clearly conveyed a sense of disapproval towards our presence and ethnicity. (Image of employee included)."
"As an avid thrifter I like to check out new stores while I’m on vacation. I stopped by the Karm thrift store. And while I was impressed at the large selection, I quickly saw why they had so much merchandise. The pricing is absolutely wild for used clothing. Regular tops were around $8 which is double goodwills pricing. Some highlights included $14.99 for clearly stained lululemon leggings and $29.99 for 15 year old Lilly Pulitzer dresses. I have attached some photos that show their pricing structure for “higher end” pieces. They are comfortable with having merchandise for over two months because they priced so high. I did not see any sale color tags, which is usually what thrift stores do. I left the store without purchasing anything."
