"Conveniently tucked away just east of Old River Road and Taft Hwy. Gasoline is not sold here although at one point it looks to have served both as a gas station and convenient store. Has a vintage outdoor vibe. Like from a scene in a movie where the a traveling group of friends make a pit stop to stretch and buy some goodies. However, the inside was part liquor store, part mercadito and part hole in the wall (literally) Mexican restaurant. Initially I thought it was a meat market but it was limited to cooked Mexican food and fried burritos and taquitos served hot under a lamp. Testing the waters, I ordered 2 racks of ribs and a whole grilled chicken. It came with beans and rice and about 16 tortillas with generous amount of tasty salsa. Owner was on site behind the counter but was more interested in his phone conversation. A young woman was at the register. They werent too friendly but it was about 104 outside so the mood wasnt as jovial as one would expect. Food was good and they sure had a good selection of beers, Mexican candies and plenty of snacks. It was a pleasant visit and I would go back to order some food."
"The best Tortas when the female cooks are there tho, sorry but I been there a few times when the guys are there.. the food is not the same I looked at my tortas and there is yellow cheese slices? And no Avocado? for what I heard the girls are there in the afternoons so I'll be calling ahead. prices are good BBQ ribs are always GOOD fries are good but unfortunately they don't make ranch there anymore and the Kraft ranch is not that great with fries. Great customer service tho ppl from store are very nice they have a dinning area outside too"
"This is a hole in the wall small market with Mexican fast food takeout. The food is authentic and very good. Service is good and very fast. I ordered a carnitas burrito that was outstanding and too big to finish."
