"I decided to change dentists recently and selected Pleasant Hill Wellness based on Welp reviews and location. I had my first appointment last week (9/14/2022) and discovered a dental office that was not a chain, didn't have multiple dentists, simply Dr. Yi and her staff, who are all friendly and competent. She examined my teeth and we agreed on a schedule going forward. The gums that my previous dentist said were so bad I had to have periodontal cleanings three times a year are doing well according to Dr. Yi. I am so glad I connected with Pleasant Hill Wellness and encourage anyone looking for a dentist tocheck them out."

"Was told earlier this year that I had 4 cavities nearly to the point of root canal. I had no mouth pain and was suspicious of how quick they were trying to rush me through payment and scheduling for fillings, especially because I was newly 18 and just at the legal age to sign for myself. I never had the “cavities” filled because of this. According to my new dentist I have absolutely no cavities and my mouth is totally healthy. Avoid this place at all costs."

"Dr. Yi was efficient and easy to work with. However, it turned out that my DeltaCare USA plan was not compatible with her billing. After a lot of time on the phone with Delta and Dr. Yi's office, we found out that EOC Plan Booklet for Contra Costa County employees (EOC_CAA16_71482) restricts billing more than other DeltaCare USA plans. Since my plan does not allow billing of "lab fees", Dr. Yi was not able to help me. Other than that, my visit was great."

"I called and spoke with the doctor letting her know my insurance and what I needed done. (A crown). She never told me that none of the crowns she offers are covered by my insurance and that she doesn’t do regular crowns that are covered. A huge waste of time for me to come to the office, pay for an office visit to be told something she could have told me on the phone and I would have never came. Also seemed a bit shady IMO. Her staff was very nice and helpful but I would not recommend."

"This is a follow-up review. My elderly mother has visited this office twice since the first encounter. I am glad to report that Dr. Yi's staff is consistently friendly, caring, and efficient. As far as Dr. Yi is concerned, I cannot say enough good things about her. She is the perfect blend of top-notch surgical skills and compassion. Pleasant Hill Wellness and Dental is a jewel."
