"The apartments are very nice. The maintenance crew is amazing and quick. Kaylee is really good at making sure things are understood. However, when I moved In, it was definitely not ready for me to do so. There was dried (what looked like blood) on the walls in the closet. The carpets were not new at all. I know this by the way it felt. Not to mention I’m still smelling the last occupants animals. If they didn’t have any animals on file, they were hiding it, because it’s very clear there was a dog that lived here. When I shampooed the carpet, it was also definite that an animal lived here. At times, it’s very hard to get ahold of anyone in the office. I don’t know if they’re short staffed, but that seems very off putting to a resident and future residents. I noticed that If you leave a message, they will not call you back. The complex is very noisy. People come and go often, so there are always cars blasting music at all hours of the day. Evening being worse. They did try and correct this by sending out an email in regard to it. The office was very good at handling complaints, but it doesn’t help when it’s half of the residents doing it. Another issue are the kids! I don’t understand how parents can allow their kids to play and make so much noise in front of someone’s living space! These are not houses. These are apartments. There are no yards. When you step out of your door, you’re next to another persons living space. Just because you don’t want to deal with your kids, we shouldn’t have to either. I know a lot of people said the pool was only open a week during the summer. That wasn’t a big deal to me, but I do understand that you’re paying for that amenity. There is also a gate that hasn’t worked since I’ve lived here (going on two years). I think that’s also part of what you pay for, but unsure. This is the only place I’ve lived where I’ve renewed a lease. I want to believe that theyre doing their best, but something has to give."
"Do not move here save yourself the trouble and the headache. I was supposed to move here on November 17. My move-in date was been pushed back to November 21. I was told that they needed to add some finishing touches to the unit when I arrived on November 21, the unit was still not ready. The walls had not been painted. The blinds were broken they were blind in one of the bedrooms. There was a load of trash right outside the front door. I’m assuming from the previous tenants. I was then asked to come back the next day To give them time to make things right at this point, the U-Haul has been loaded I was ready to move in. I got to the unit and the wall still had not been painted the trash outside still And come to find out, the unit was infested with roaches. I had to leave my belongings on the For over a day because the next day was Thanksgiving day and wait Until Friday I was able to speak with the manager Carrie and request my money back Mind you I have paid $800 total. I was advised that she would have to speak with the To see if they would be willing to give me my money back I received an email Letting me know that I will be refunded the prorated rent and the deposit excluding the application fee and the administration fee. Here we are today and I still have not received my check in the mail. I am beyond frustrated and upset due to this situation I wasted money And having it for two days, I am out of the application fee and administration fee, and I still have not Funds which has put a stop to me moving somewhere else I have been inconvenienced beyond words Do not move here save yourself the trouble"
"SHAME ON UV RESIDENTIAL! DO NOT MOVE HERE! I wish I could give this property a zero rating after watching the decline the past few years. UV Residential took over this property during Covid and has treated this like section 8 housing.... possibly worse! We live in a trash dump! Trash everywhere across the property, the valet company has never been consistent with their pickup, and I've watched bags of trash fall out of the back of their truck and they just leave it on the ground. I'm having to pay upward to $50 plus a month in trash??? $30 dollars for valet and fluctuating trash fee...it's a total scam when the property looks terrible. We don't have amenities, yet we are being charged a $50 amenity fee, the pool has looked like a nuclear dump site for 2 years, and the gym has outdated equipment that doesn't work most of the time. There's never any parking, yet there's a sketchy "security" guard that sits at the entrance watching people come and go and occasionally asking what apartment number we're in. Yea, that seems really safe to a single female, I had to have my brother stay we with me for a few weeks when they were doing that. This property is unsanitary, unsafe, and scams you in additional fees on top of your base rent. After looking at multiple brand new properties in the surrounding area, no other complexes charge a "real estate tax allocation" fee, TWO trash fees, TWO "risk mitigation fees" on top of sewer, water, and pest. Currently this all adds up to $125 in additional fees, this is all a scam! I have brought this up to management multiple times and there's new employees monthly, such a high turnover rate in property management. It's funny this management company has money to have monthly "community" parties when that money should go towards fixing the reoccurring issues. I can't wait until my lease is up, it's a matter of time before Channel 5 news is out here doing a segment on what a scumlord UV Residential is. I would advise everyone to brush up on rental/tenant laws in TN, and start demanding communication with the corporate heads of UV Residential in Denver CO. What this company has let happen to this property is criminal, and it needs to be stopped and reported."
"Please do not move here. There are no parking rules AT ALL. Instead of trying to fix this, they instead enforce a tow truck company when the issue is there’s not enough parking spaces for the amount of people who have cars. My car was recently towed and of course I was mad. My car was parked in a place that used to be a parking space but new management removed it even though there is a parking problem (makes 0 sense). When I went to speak with them about it, they basically said that they can’t do anything even if there’s no parking and the property manager Kerri told me that I should park my car by the leasing office and walk up the hill (almost 0.5miles)to my apartment. When I showed my shock and amazement that she would even consider me taking such an inconvenient route, she said I should do that because she walks up the hill all the time. My rent is already very high and I had to pay a $400 towing fee and the tow company is all the way in Madison, TN at 45 minute drive from these apartments (90mins round trip). This new management is always sending correspondences about everything to fine us about and there “events”, but have not addressed real issues that are going on around the apartment such as why the pool has not been open yet and why the trash pick up company is horrible. I had to have my locks changed because they had painters come and one of them take my spare key and covered my camera. The only thing about this place is the maintenance staff. They are all very nice and understanding. Other than that, This place is horrible please stay far away."
"Discovery becomes a scary and unsanitary place to live. Paying $15+ for valet trash and nobody picks trash up; paying $15+ for gym, pool,, amenities and laundry machines take your money and function properly. This is our pool. Management changes so frequently that we don’t even know who they are and each management comes up with new parking policies. Thank you discovery for nothing."
