Reviews of Laurel Wood Apartments
"Community Manager Whitney is great. We’ve been here a year and haven’t had hardly any issues. Only one issue and it was addressed so fast thanks to the INCREDIBLE maintenance staff. They rock. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable, friendly complex to live in. I’d recommend it.:)"
"Can’t complain much been living here since early 2020. Staff in the front office is great about answering questions and quick on responses. The maintenance team are fabulous. Pretty decent neighbors. They tend to keep them themselves so the area is quiet. Only complaint that I really have is regarding the pool but that’s more due to disturbances by neighbors that trash it from time to time. It tends to be close up for long periods and is only open for a short time of year. Super glad they have the dog parks to allow my dog to get some exercise once in a while."
"I do not live here, but I have applied several times, which, in hindsight, is dumb of me. Each time, I have been denied for ridiculous reasons. The first two times, it was because my co-signer was a dollar off of making 4 times the rent, and they don't count the additional income if you have more than one job. The last time they made me and my co-applicant jump through hoops. Instead of verifying employment with your employer, they make you send your paystubs and your bank statements. Even if your credit score is decent, if you ever had any collections or negative effects on your credit, even if they are old, they will still deny you. The lady at the office was nice enough, but I just think it is ridiculous to make someone go through this. I make enough money. I got a job, and my credit isn't bad. I'd be better off trying to get a loan."
"This is my third year living at Laurel Wood. Overall, it has been a great experience. Every time I have needed assistance from maintenance, they have answered or helped us that day (Sometimes even within the hour). These apartments are fairly old, so the ones that aren't renovated have very old fashioned cabinets and appliances, but both of the units I have lived in have had fresh carpet and paint when I moved in. The only issue I have really faced with them is that their process for checking financial status (even when just transferring units) was very invasive (wanting multiple bank statements, etc). Otherwise, management is very responsive and helpful! I plan on living here for the foreseeable future!"
"I have now lived at Laurelwood for 5 months! They have been nothing but great! The ladies in the office are kind and quick to get back with you. I was having some heating issues at the beginning of January after bringing home my newborn, they were very attentive at getting it fixed and fixed correctly! The apartments may be a little out of date but they are well kept and affordable!"
