Whetstone Flats

"I should have read these google reviews before signing a lease here. I Signed a 9 month lease at Whetstone Flats. By my third month, I made a promise to myself that I was moving once my lease was up and I did. When I first moved in, my laundry wasn't working. It took over 3 months to finally get it fixed! Its almost impossible to contact anyone in the front office via phone and they don't respond to emails. I think there is some sketchy stuff going on up in the front office. When I moved out they said they couldn't give me back my direct deposit because they applied it to my rent months ago without asking me! Looking back, I should have pressed them harder on the issue. I left my apartment SPOTLESS when I moved out because I wanted all of my security deposit back. When I checked out at the front office I wanted to do a walk through with one of the staff but they said they were too busy and that they would do it after the holidays. A few days after I moved out I got an email about an outstanding balance on my account. I emailed and called to ask what it was about. no answer. Then 30 days later I find out they turned me over to collections for a cleaning fee! That's what my missing security deposit was for! I left that apartment spotless too. If you are reading this, please do not live here!"

"Prior to renting here I read a lot of bad reviews about this place. I thought I would give them a chance, but the reviews turned out to be 100% accurate. I know they can’t “control” car break ins, but leaving the security entrance gates open for the last 3 months is unacceptable. Blaming the reason they can’t fix the gates due to “weather” is probably one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard in my entire life. I take walks daily and see piles of trash everyday (see attached photo), it’s disgusting. I have lived in several different apartments, all across the United States, I have never ever experienced anything like this. I would never, ever, recommend this place to my worst enemy."

"Huge shout out to Dominick Smith the assistant Property manager here at Whetstone Flats. This guy is beyond professional, very patient, has such a great attitude and extremely helpful. He has helped me downsize to a 1 bedroom and has made this transition so smooth. Working with him made me happy and I know if I need anything he’ll get the job done. I wish all property managers was like Dominick. Thank you so much for such a good experience."

"My car was almost broken into & now has damage..I asked the office to accommodate me as this is the second time. The assistant manager is RUDE, has a bad attitude & just wanted to see who could yell louder. AND, is not willing to help. He wants me to wait two more days to see if there is “inventory” for a garage meanwhile there’s 3 in front of my apartment with stickers saying “rent me”. I just resigned my lease last week and now regret it!"

"I've been here for 3 years and I can't complain. Staff is extremely friendly, service calls are answered promptly,grounds are clean,amenities are well taken care of, and the location is absolutely perfect. As prices rise in Nashville and surrounding suburbs, what we pay for our spacious 2 bedroom and all it has to offer is almost a steal. There are 2 pools,dog parks, and a wooded stream. Very pet friendly, and extremely safe for children. I highly recommend living here!"
