"Think twice before you sign a lease , I got my apartment mid February 2024 and been living at the hotel since then , I even e-mailed the area manager she was very nice and friendly and helpful however when the maintenance people came to clean the stuff needs to be completely replaced he only cleaned the dust and that’s about , cracks around the windows frames allowing the bugs to come to the outside, I could keep talk about the issues I’m having all day long , long story short just look at these pictures"

"I have been at Avana since February 15, 2023 in a one bedroom. Application process was pretty easy and did not take long. My apartment did not have any issues for the first couple of months, Then I started to notice cockroaches in the kitchen, pulled out fridge and stove they are coming from the cracks in the corners. Put in multiple request to come spray and whenever they did use to come they would never spray areas I addressed. My lease ends soon and the roaches are the only reason I did not renew. Also the apartments are kind of upgraded but since the buildings are older you can hear neighbors above you. I’m giving three stars because of roaches and I also wanted to transfer to another unit that was 2 bedrooms. They emailed me and I sent my pay stubs three times over a 2 month span . It’s like a new conversation each time. Each person has something different to say. Also I tired re applying and they denied me due to credit. I asked what was the minimum and my credit was way over the minimum. Other than that the apartments are not bad, take a while to answer maintenance request. If you try calling the apartments an offsite person will answer it’s never someone in office so it makes it hard to speak to someone at Avana Collins Creek."

"I'm honestly confused by the one star reviews. I took a star off because maintenance takes forever but I have no other complaints. I'M A CLEAN PERSON so I DO NOT have roaches, bedbugs, or any pests at ALL. Each time I've emailed them they have responded quickly addressing my concerns and putting my mind at ease. I just renewed my lease and am happy here."

"One of the worst places I moved into. Maintenance will never come unless you call every day, even with emergencies. Took about a week for someone to come for an emergency when I had a leak into the hot water heater and the lady was annoyed I was calling about it. Sometimes they would complete the request before even coming out. Moved out in October and am now getting emails saying I owe $1600 in move out charges which is a complete joke. Charging me for rent after I already left the place, and random false charges I have to now take to corporate office. They do cheap work and want their residents to pay for it. My boyfriend’s car was broken into here as well. Constant gun shots at night, cops drive through frequently, just not a calm place to be if that’s what you’re looking for. Update: I spoke with Briana Thornberry from CORPORATE office. She argued with me the entire time, told me she cannot take off any charges I was charged for because the complex needs to, and I asked if I need to take this to court and she said “we are a billion dollar company do you think you’re going to win when we show them what needed to be done?” The nastiest woman I’ve ever spoke to. Told me I just wanted to call her to yell at her and hung up on me. The most unprofessional, nastiest person I’ve spoke to. They will charge you and will force you to pay. She said my option is to get it sent to collections and my credit will go down. So I will be contacting a lawyer and I’ll let this go to collections before ever letting this company get my money. I’m disgusted."

"Everything negative mentioned on their review is true . Please refrain from moving to this apartment complex. I’m truly disappointment in everything especially how dismissive the office people are. All they care about is the money and bonuses they make out of the amount of residents they move in monthly. They don’t care about the services they provide to their tenants. Think again before you decide to live here or you will regret it like I did . I won’t be resigning a lease with them again. Terrible mistake I made moving here"
