"If I could give 0 stars I would. My boyfriend and I lived at this complex for 14 months. Worst mistake we ever made. When we went to our scheduled tour, the door was locked and girls were outback smoking.(this ended up being a common occurrence during our stay). We should’ve turned around and never came back. We had cockroaches. There was mold under our sink and maintenance said it wasn’t mold it was water damage. They refused to fix it. We stayed sick while we stayed in that apartment. The gate only worked probably 1 week the whole 14 months during our stay and when it was working our key cards never worked so I couldn’t even open the gate. The pools were filthy and we only used them once. We had to pay $25 for parking (per car) even though there was no assigned parking and we rarely got to park in front of our building. The staff in the office were rude and incompetent. (If we could even get in the office considering the door was always locked) They never helped us with any issues we had. They couldn’t even answer the phone or return calls after leaving several voice mails . My boyfriend went to the office everyday for about a week when he got home (around 3:30pm) the office was always locked and he couldn’t get in to speak to anyone. We had a 1 bedroom and were paying near $1800 but when we signed the lease it was only supposed to be $1400. Worst living situation I have ever been in. When we moved out, we moved out about 2 weeks early. Everything had been paid for and I went to surrender my keys and they REFUSED to let me surrender them. Absolute trash management and staff."
"Overpriced for outdated apartments, the parking situation is horrible, there is more guest parking spots than ones for people living here, so if you work nights good luck You're basically forced to pay for a reserved parking on top of being feed for every other little thing. Not to mention the break ins of peoples vehicles, there is a gate in the front thats been broken and we were told " the gate is not responsible for your security " like what ? It sure would help. You will be stressed for you're whole lease I recommend taking you're money elsewhere"
"If I could give them a negative amount of stars I would. The people who run this place are pathological liars. They hit you with random fees for nonsense every month. They schedule maintenance for your apartment without notifying you. They charge money for guest parking and if you don’t pay they boot your car. They also will boot your car if you are a resident parked in a guest parking spot. It wouldn’t be much of a problem if there were enough spots for everyone to park in. However there has been shipping containers and construction equipment taking up half of the spots for over a year now. This is supposed to be a “gated community” however within the past year aof me living here the gate stays open 24/7.Someone has to tell these people that we don’t live in communist Russia."
"EDIT: well the parking situation has only gotten worse as our registered vehicle was booted again after this post was made. Additionally, my brothers car was broken into during his weekend visit. So much for the guest parking making this community safer… maybe if money was invested in security cameras and replacing the gate with something more secure and fixable there wouldn’t be so many break ins. His car wasn’t the only car broken into last night (10/15) either. ORIGINAL: I will write a more detailed review when we move out, but wanted to share the experience of this parking situation. The complex has set up parking rules where guests have to pay to park between 10pm-7am (or something like that) and are supposed to park in guest parking designated spots (the ask residents to not park in said designated spots) We came home the other night and there were absolutely NO spots by our building, so we parked in the back in a guest spot around 1am (there were at least 5 guest spots available). Well we were booted and when we went to ask the office if they could ask the tow company to take the boots off they said we still had to pay because we “didn’t follow the rules” even though we PAY TO LIVE AND PARK HERE (yes, RESIDENTS HAVE TO PAY $35 A MONTH TO PARK), they are still making us pay 75 to take the boots off. ADDITIONALLY, they basically said they only check the guests spots, so people who don’t live here can park in non guests and their cars won’t get checked?? What kind of screwed up sense does that make. Please save yourself the hassle of this complex and find somewhere else to live. On top of all of these, there are cars that have been booted for WEEKS just sitting in the lots and taking up spots. When are they going to tow these cars??"
"Me and my roommate stayed here for a grand total of 4 months out of our 13 month lease before our apartment was condemned from a flood and torn apart. Management gave us ZERO help as we had to literally beg them to have someone come look at our walls, ceiling and floors that were soaking wet from a pipe above us bursting. it took 2 whole weeks for them to even care about it because on day 14 of my roommate not having a room (that we were paying for of course) to sleep in, we found MOLD all through out the unit. they offered us NOTHING in terms of help besides a good ole “well this is your problem, not ours”. we had to uproot our life after they served us a 14 eviction notice due to the construction happening, all the while being completely against refunding any of the money we paid for rent the day before. hope lafrance and the rest of the UDR management team are truly awful. DO NOT LIVE HERE !!!!!! there are newer constructions with more amenities in better areas for FAR cheaper than this complex anyway. even the entry gates don’t work, lol."
