"I purchased a $200+ piece of ribeye for my Super Bowl Sunday party along with a host of other items. I got home and cut it open to find a gross amount of hard fat hidden within and a slimy piece of meat. On the verge of going bad even though it was @5 more days to expiration. I contacted BJs customer care, submitted the receipt, my card and all details including pictures of the fat on my scale. OVER 4 POUNDS OF EXCESS FAT!!! I could have cut 5 pounds off but some fat is good. Customer care (joke) wants me to drive the 1 hour each way so I can talk to a live person in the store to resolve this. I’m heading out this weekend in search of the much closer Costco and Sam’s Clubs…."
"I tried for literally two weeks to use one of the 4 my membership promotion they sent by mail without success. I was sent by your company. My first time at the store and the Fresh bread was near empty. The produce was molded. When I got home, and opened the bag, the garlic was full of mold. The Express App it’s a joke. You can’t shop more than 20 items. Nowhere they tell you that. I had to take items out. On your way out, the person had to scan 8 items out of the 20, taking so much time while he decide which one he wants to scan. We mentioned this to the person scanning and he said “well your other option is, put the other items on one side and go to the self checkout” Really? That defeats the whole purpose of Express check out. He then said, well I give you a choice and if you are not taking it, is not our fault. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. This is a NEW store, I am absolutely disappointed in your company."
"If I could give zero stars, I would. From start to finish we were given incorrect information. We bought the $55 membership at a sign-up event, when we got the credit card bill they had charged us for the $110 membership. We received $80 in cash back rewards so we decided to go and shop and at least get the rewards. When we went this past weekend. We visited the customer service desk to straighten out the membership issue and the customer service team was so condescending and rude. We decided to stay and shop and it was fine. Typical warehouse store. We go to check out and they won't let us use the rewards money. I ask and no one seemed to know what was going on. We left - loaded the car and headed back to customer service where again several managers condescendingly told us that they couldn't (wouldn't) fix the issue. That we could bring everything back and they could credit it and then try again in 50 minutes. or we could just come back another time before the rewards expire. Worst customer service experience ever. I'll keep my Sam's Club membership. I've been a member there for 20 years or more and they are always very helpful."
"As a devoted Costco customer, I decided to give the new BJ's Wholesale store in Mt Juliet a try. We went during the grand opening weekend. Stepping inside, I have to admit I felt right at home! The huge warehouse setup almost made me forget I wasn't in my usual Kirkland wholesale addiction. Overall, prices seemed very comparable to what I'm used to - nothing outrageous for a membership warehouse store. I found particularly great values on deli, meats, eggs and pantry items. They had a good selection of alcohol as well. I was also impressed with the wide selection of kids' clothing and toys as well as the fresh bakery items and pastries. The bakery had many good looking birthday cake options! Also thank you for the food samples as I walked around. The crowds were admittedly very large being opening weekend. The parking lot was packed to maximum capacity. Inside was a bit crowded as well but the friendly staff was working hard to assist shoppers. For my first trip to BJ's, I was pleasantly surprised at the similar offerings and savings I'm used to from my Costco trips. I look forward to coming back and exploring even more that BJ's has to offer shoppers, as I feel like I only hit 20% of the store. Also did get gas and it was priced well in comparison to stations in the area."
