"The entire staff put me at ease. They could tell I was nervous about a top molar extraction, and offered me nitrous gas, which I gladly accepted. I can now heartily recommend nitrous for an extraction. Nitrous gas + the local anesthesia reduced any stress about the procedure. Also, Dr. Hickle—a professional, kind, and caring surgeon—used a marvelous method to remove the motor: he cut it into pieces and extracted them one by one—in other words, he did not “yank” the whole tooth out at once.
