Ombre Nails Lounge

"I came here after getting a massage next door and wanted to keep the self-care going, was short on time so could not go to my usual spot, and thought I would try Ombre out since it is pretty difficult to mess up something simple like dip powder. Well, so I thought. This place proved me wrong. My nail tech was a doll but unfortunately, my dip powder nails took too long (an hour when my usual spot takes about 30 minutes), were too expensive ($50 is overpriced for dip powder on natural nails), and are already chipping after just 2 days. I didn't even know that dip powder could chip, but their products here are likely low quality. Such a disappointment. Edit: came back to update that the dip powder has completely separated and fallen off of 2 nails in less than 1 week. Absolute poor quality. To the other reviewer who is having a hard time finding a quality technician in Folsom: I had the same problem until I started going to Palazoo nails at the Palladio. I always book with Lisa. They use quality products and I've never had a bad job done from her in the 2 years I've been going to her. I cannot recommend her enough!"

"I left mimis nails because the lady there did a TERRIBLE job, I got up and walked away after she was done applying acrylic. I didn’t even let her file because I saw how bad of a job she was doing applying the acrylic- thankfully ombre made room to take me in and took off the nails and acrylic from Mimi‘s but unfortunately they didn’t do much of a better job. The color is exactly the shade I wanted, but the shape is so ugly and I clearly told the girl doing my nails that I do not like curved nails. I wanted straight, square nails - I showed her a reference picture and everything. and unfortunately I have the most ugly shaped, crooked nails that look like they came out of a practice salon from a brand new nail tech. The terrible thing is I paid $70 when these nails look like they came out of the 80s or 90s when it used to cost us $20 for a full set. I’m a really good tipper and I’m not afraid to spend a good amount of money pampering myself but it needs to be worth it! Im so mad that I spent $70 for something that we used to spend $20 for. I don’t know why, but it is impossible finding a quality nail tech in Folsom that is consistent and capable."

"Horrific horrific! I called at 6 they said yes we have time, I needed my nails removed and a new set put on the lady said yes come on in and so I did. The guy starts taking my nails off and getting my old set partially filed down and then starts applying tips….I said are you going to glue the new set on top of the old set? He said yeah it keeps your nails safe and I said I’ve never had an old set partially on my nail and a new set on top of that it seems like it would damage them he said well that take to long we go home at 7 so this how it is I said ok then why was I told I could come in he said because it was another lady and they already left….he said if I’d don’t like it like that then he can’t help me. Sorry to him he doesn’t know I’m a cosmetologist myself and will most definitely be calling state board as well as letting the owner know what has happened. It is never safe to put a new nail on top of a previous set that has been on that person nails for months of fills."

"Wonderful experience at Ombre nails! Relaxing spa-like ambiance, aesthetic interior, and loved the outcome of our nails. Easy parking. Lots of pampering pedicure options as well and some unique color options for nail color. Highly recommend coming here and will be back!"
