"I went here and enjoyed my first experience, but there were some bigger issues. I chipped a tooth and they were able to get me in the next day to fix it. The filling looks amazing and matches my tooth color extremely well. I have a retainer and asked to have a new one made as well since the filling changed the shape of my tooth would affect its fit into my old one. When I went back to get my retainer, I had received a mouth guard. I knew something felt wrong but I thought they would know best and left the office (my mistake- I shouldn’t have accepted it). I called an orthodontist about it, and was informed that mouth guards do not in fact keep teeth straight because it could damage the enamel if they are too tight and tooth grinding occurs. I called the office back and was told there was nothing they could do and it is a retainer, and that it fit great. They told me to wear it and just get used to it. They were REALLY persistent that this mouth guard was what I payed for. I’ve had various retainers over 15 years, I know what they are and was confident they were unwilling to take accountability and fix the issue. I informed them I would seek advice from another provider and works towards getting the issue fixed to dispute the charge if they were unwilling to work towards a solution. I shortly heard back that it was an error on the labs end and that the ticket they submitted said retainer, and the ticket on my item said mouth guard. When I received the actual retainer, a dental assistant did the fitting this time instead of the dentist. She was also really pushing that a mouth guard is the same as a retainer and I would have still had straight teeth otherwise. I informed her she was incorrect, and she continued to push it. I’m not sure if this it was true, but if that is the case that the lab errored they should have double checked the product BEFORE scheduling my appointment for a fitting. I work in health care also and this is standard procedure. But, I have a suspicion they just ordered me a different one. Otherwise I don’t think it would have been this much back and forth, and they should have checked the ticket in the first place. After all this, I had a dental cleaning appointment for a few weeks after that they canceled without any notice. I’m guessing they canceled it because I refused to accept the mouth guard I didn’t order. Very unprofessional. As the client, it’s not my responsibility to understand the differences between different orthodontic products, and they should have responded significantly differently when I brought up a concern about the difference in the product I purchased. I didn’t want to waste $500 on a product I didn’t order. I will not be going to this provider again, and recommend that others don’t seek any type of orthodontic care here either."
