Reviews of Fort Sanders Wound Treatment Center
"Love Dr Sarah Williard she is amazing lady Her staff Angie too Wish she was regular Dr"
"I’ve been treated with the upmost respect from Dr.S , Julie and Michelle in the hospital for 6-7 weeks and was discharged from the hospital on the 11th day of May and if it weren’t for the wonderful care I received from Dr S and his 2 great PA’s God only knows what kinda shape I’d be it. Thank all of you including the girls at his office from the bottom of my heart"
"Do not let the negative reviews fool you, this is the BEST wound treatment center in Knoxville and surrounding counties. Hands down. Sure, Dr. Schuchmann has his ways, but he cares. So long as you do what you have to do and match their effort, you will see great results. Now, if you screw about and not do the things they ask for, then that is another story and you will hear about it. Sadly, some people just can not handle that and that is where the negative reviews come from. Just my humble opinion."
"I absolutely love the wonderful staff and my wound care doctor. I see Dr. Schuchmann. Tracy at the front desk is always happy and that just continues on with the rest of the staff as you go back. If you take the steps in your home care as given to you upon your visits you should heal accordingly. Do not expect hand holding if you do not. They are very honest and up front with your care. Great place."
"The two rudest staff members I've ever dealt with over the phone. When I first called the Receptionist hung up repeatedly after barely the first ring. I could hear her slam the phone down. Then proceeded to do it two more times and yelled "who is this" and said "I was trying to walk up front to answer that phone." Once I explained my situation that I was healing well, but hadn't seen the doctor since the debridement and afraid it would close before her seeing it. She gave me medical advice to go to the ER or the doctor would have to cut me back open. Completely not correct and out of her scope of practice. I nicely asked to speak to the nurse. The nurse seemed to be clueless and very rude. Told me I should be happy my wound is healing. I said I agree, but I still haven't been seen by the doctor. Then she told me to go see my PCP that I didn't need to see Dr. Willard for my first follow up appointment after the procedure. That I shouldn't have waited for my follow up w Dr. Willard because she's just the surgeon. I explained that my PCP would not see me while in her care. She yelled out "lady I don't know you or what's going on w you. All I know is we haven't seen you yet." I said to her that I was trying to explain. She continued to be rude and I told her goodbye. This is horrible and unprofessional behavior and I'm sure this has happened to others in the past. I think of those people who wouldn't know what to do in a situation like this and decide to let thier wound close up without being seen. Potentially causing them further complications, because of inadequate staff like these two. So, this is why I am leaving a one star. Dr. Willard was amazing to me and her woundcare staff at the hospital as well. This is not a reflection of the doctor or the whole staff. Just these two individuals, because they could cause so much problems for the other folks trying to heal."
