"I would really tread carefully with ‘practitioner’s’ here. My son went through a lot of trauma and we sought care here. The Psy.D therapist who treated him was not trauma informed (we realize this now but did not at the time) and had us do things like lock him in a room and hold him down while he was screaming as part of ‘PCIT’. Private practitioners who have cared for him since have been horrified to hear this. If you can go elsewhere, please do."
