"Well I went against what everybody in Davis was saying about Barnes Dentistry and tried go back there again for service. Times were tough and I had a past due bill which I had an issue with due to my wife being overcharged in the past(always check your bill). As usual the receptionist was snappy and rude, but the main dentist there is incredibly nice, sweet and very caring and professional at her job. So are the dental assistants who have serviced me there. The problem is the odd women who act like they are ready to argue in a heartbeat. I think they are bored hoping for someone to be unsure of what’s going on so they can try to make you feel stupid. So many people have told me that about them but I tried to overlook it. I had an appt scheduled, they tried to reschedule it because they messed up on their end. I had already gotten my wife to work from home to allow me to go to this appt, since we have two young kids. The receptionist was rude, not understanding and acted like I was the one who messed up. So I agreed to go to the rescheduled appt. I have just switched insurance due to illness and not being able to work. They texted me today to ask what my new policy was and I sent a screenshot which clearly stated the policy number and it stated it’s an HMO. When I got there, the teenage receptionist was rude, hostile and asked me for my information. I asked where Michelle was, the one who text me and the teen said she was the one who text me. I said I sent a screeenshot to which she shrugged and said I need more info is it an HMO? Cause we don’t accept that here. As I was calling my wife to ask more info about it they both were laughing and enjoying what was obviously what they purposely did, got me down there to tell me I couldn’t be seen even though it clearly stated in the screen shot that it was an HMO. I told them sorry for wasting your time and they seemed very happy with themselves. So super nice great dentist, terrible customer service. I should’ve listened to people here. Davis is a small town and word gets around. I hope they both can learn from their mistakes because that place could be great, if they had their front desk helpers trained better in customer service."

"Barnes and her staff and not only the best dental team I have ever met, but the best medical professionals I've met in years. Not to disparage other medical professionals, I understand that they have been under tremendous stress after these difficult years, but it was nice to walk into a medical team that takes the time to make it clear that they really care. They had not only reviewed our comments about our child's particular behavioral idiosyncrasies, but had a plan to address them, when they had been brushed off by our previous dentist (why we left). Granted, it was just a check up and cleaning, but still, it was a great experience."
"I came to Barnes Family Dentistry because of the reviews; everyone mentioned how outstanding dr Barnes was both professionally and in personality, and how respectful and affable the office is. I have pretty substantial dental anxiety, and it had been a long time since my last dental appointment. Dr Barnes, and all the staff, were incredibly understanding about my anxiety and worked with me in very meaningful ways to help me overcome my anxiety while receiving incredibly high quality care. I needed quite a bit of work; deep cleaning, fillings, and a crown. Dr Barnes put in real effort to schedule this work in a way that built up my dental tolerance and eased me in. I’m not going to say I enjoyed getting the work done, but I genuinely believe that Dr Barnes is the best that dentistry can be."
