Reviews of Safe Harbor Mental Health
"Both of my daughters have been treated by a Jennifer for the past year. She is an amazing practitioner! We have utilized both in person and telehealth appointments which makes appointments easy and really fits into our schedule. Jennifer’s wealth of experience has really helped us reach the best treatment plan for my girls and their mental health goals! I am so thankful for her guidance and expertise! You will not be sorry if you make Safe Harbor your provider. As a health care provider, I wouldn’t trust anyone else!"
"Jennifer is the best. I felt comfortable with her immediately. She is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. She is receptive and proactive to my needs and i am doing much better since seeing her these past few years."
"Jennifer is wonderful. I have been seeing her for several years. The key to seeing a psychiatrist is being transparent. If you aren’t honest about how you feel mentally and emotionally, or honest about how a love one is behaving, no mental health professional will be able to help. Jennifer listens and cares. It took me a long time to find someone that actually has my best interest."
"I was scheduled for my first visit with this Safe Harbor Money Health today and when I got there I told the receptionist I had forgot my form of payment, but I had someone bringing it to me and she tells me oh we have to have payment before we see you. So now I’m wondering how many people they’ve turned away in the past what if one of those people was on the brink of a breakdown that could send them over the edge. It’s Dr’s like this that make people think well hell I don’t need to see anyone and they never get to the help they need."
"Really inappropriate doctor that pushed on every appointment for me to go on birth control despite me saying I didn’t want to. Her excuse was that it was good care (in a very demeaning tone) to explain the side effects of the medication (possible birth defects for first trimester pregnancy). It became very obvious that she was more worried about a non-existent fetus than me. I told her on every appointment that I UNDERSTOOD THE SIDE EFFECTS and truly was not concerned (in the case of getting pregnant I would have an abortion). She told me that if I had come in for our last two appointments that we could have discussed it in person. I understand that, and I understand how me missing appointments can negatively effect her business so she wouldn’t feel comfortable keeping me as a client. What I don’t understand is the gaslighting. I told her the first appointment I didn’t want to go to a Gynecologist for birth control. I told her on the second appointment I was not comfortable talking about that subject again (because she WAS pushing me to see a Gynecologist and get on birth control despite me telling her I’d experienced abuse from doctors in the past so I wasn’t comfortable). I told her again on the third appointment when she tried to push it that I wasn’t going to be on birth control, she kept pushing and the only way I could get her to stop was by saying I would have an abortion if pregnant. It was very clear to me that this was a personal belief and she was much more concerned about a nonexistent fetus than MY care. The only reason I’m posting this review is because when I spoke to her on the phone she decided to dismiss my point of view. When I told her I agreed that continuing care with her wasn’t a great fit for me and I’d already discussed it with my therapist her tone definitely changed, she told me it was GOOD CARE what she did. That’s not good care, Jennifer. That’s really unethical tactics and highly inappropriate. This is my body and I can decide whether or not I want to be on birth control. The reason anyone seeks help isn’t based on whether or not they will be a future breeding pod. Do better."
