"Dr. Henry Hermes (father) and Dr. Marc Hermes (son) are exceptional dentists. Father has been practicing dentistry for over 40 years and was a professor at three universities. His mastery of dentistry, patience in teaching preventative care, and thoroughness when you have dental issues are unmatched. He is compassionate, kind, and highly skilled. Dr. Marc Hermes is very similar and you would be in excellent hands with either of them. I moved to North County after living in East County for over 25 years and still make the commute to see them. "Updated 12/14/2019 Last month my tooth started hurting and I was in lots of discomfort. I called Dr. Hermes office and Cindy helped me book the soonest available appointment. As I saw Dr.Hermes, he checked the tooth and advised that it needed a root canal. Despite how complicated the root canal was, he started working on it. It needed more than one session to allow the tooth to heal. He saved me lots of money by not referring me to a specialist. Dr. Hermes cares and went above and beyond to treat me. Going to see Dr. Hermes for any dental work is a wonderful experience, he educates, jokes around, and makes you feel comfortable. You can never go wrong with this office, everyone is welcoming and pleasant. Thank you Dr. Hermes, Dr. Marc, Cindy, and Lynn. I started seeing Dr. Hermes in 1992. Since then, I had lots of dental work done. He's done fillings, root canals, few crowns and one bridge. It's definitely not fun to go see a dentist, but truly, its different when it comes to seeing Dr. Hermes! He makes you feel comfortable when performing any procedure. He explains everything being done really well before starting the work. He either tells jokes, put music on, or plays a nice movie while working on my teeth. He knows how to make the visit fun and not boring! I honestly feel treated as a family member there. And the best thing is that, his work is amazing!! I never had any issues or problems with the quality of his work. His staff is professional and friendly, the assistants are pleasant and very helpful and the office is always clean. If you are looking for a quite and small dental office that delivers great quality, then you must try this office. My husband, my kids, and mom my whole family have been with him since the 90's. And, if you have kids, then they will love seeing Dr. Marc who is wonderful and very easy going with kids. Most importantly, there is barely any wait. I always get seated after five-ten minutes.
