"I suspect that many of Dr, Garafalo's reviews are medi-cal, and Medi-care, recipient's, and as the old saying goes, " your guilty by association". Dr, Garafalo is well versed in what he does, and at his age it's gonna be hard to find someone with as much experience as he has in dentistry. I have been coming to his office since I was a child,and as the years have gone by things have changed, in El Cajon including the neighborhood surrounding Dr. Garafalo's office. Dr, Garafalo is getting up there in the experience department, but I doubt anyone knows dentistry better than he does. He has good Dr's working there, and he personally advises everyone who comes in to his office. Personally, I am grateful that he is still in business after so many years, my smile is happy!"

"Check Dental Care list under my Provider and saw the name and address. Upon presenting my insurance card and social, was told I don’t have dental care added to my medical insurance package. Went back there with my coverage letter with the same Insurance Card before they agreed to schedule me for appointment. I declined and walked away. So unprofessional"

"Extremely dirty. Bathroom didn't supply soap. Floors are filthy. Examination chair is sticky and had duct tape holding the ribs together. Homeless people hanging out front. So unprofessional and unsanitary. Went in for a simple examination and was told exact opposite of a better dentist. Beware!! Find something better, I did :)"

"Beware of their practices! I like that you can get in ASAP however... We paid for a procedure that had to be cancelled and have been FIGHTING for over a month to get our money back. The receptionist keeps telling us to speak to Nancy and we have left several messages for Nancy and have yet to get a call back. It's hard to get a day off to go down and get the money we are owed (hence we HAD an appointment that we CANCELLED). I don't understand why they wouldn't just mail us a check to keep us from calling. Eventually my husband or I WILL get a day off and be down there and it's NOT going to be pretty!!! Side note DR. GARAFOLO was amazing and the other younger dentist was great at explaining so myain complaint is with their financial department and that's a big deal when you don't make a ton of money. My rant is over."

"DO NOT ... I REPEAT... DO NOT GET YOUR DENTAL WORK DONE HERE. i went in and had five fillings put in. i was unhappy about a number of things. first...no explanation of the procedures. do you not want to know what someone is doing in your mouth? second...i had questions...and was completely ignored. again, you are paying for this. they seemed more eager to move me in, move me out, take my money, and set up an appointment the next day and take more money... i am not donald trump here... finally, my new dentist informed me [with well researched credentials i might add] that those aforementioned fillings we put in wrong...and one cracked tooth later...i'm shelling out more money... well, its worth it....not to have to see that @$$#()!E"
