Mobilia John a DDS

"I went in to see Dr. John Mobilia, DMD, because a crown fell off a molar. When I got there, the staff convinced me to get a full mouth X-ray, saying that it was needed for my care even though I was just there for the one molar, which was urgent. The staff then convinced me to agree to a complete mouth checkup, as it was their official policy, to which I folded and got. The doctor told me that my gums were a bit inflamed but agreed that it could be due to misuse of my electric toothbrush. He said a cleaning could help, but it was OPTIONAL. When I called to make an appointment to get my crown dealt with, the receptionist told me that I would not receive any care unless I agreed to complete dental cleaning. I told her that the dentist mentioned it was optional and that it was pressing to get my exposed molar stump covered by a crown before I did anything else. She said she would ask and call me back. She never called me back. When I called back, she said it was office policy to do a complete dental cleaning and that I would have my molar worked on unless I did a complete cleaning. At this point, they had already upsold me a thorough checkup, leading to this cleaning mess. I am convinced they were never going to work on my molar, as when I made a fuss about the situation, they said they would refer me out of the office for the work. So should you go to this dentist? That’s your choice, but be careful and skeptical about what they tell you. If they start trying to get you to agree to services you didn’t go in for, especially making services that are optional in other offices MANDATORY, I advise you to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. It was a disappointing experience working with this dentist. They were lovely in person, but they just wasted the crucial time needed to repair my molar."

"If your looking for a friendly, honest dentist, you found him! I came to dr. Mobilia after a horrible experience somewhere else and not only did he make me feel so comfortable he was incredibly honest and actually said I didn’t need to fill as many cavities as the last place I went. He fixed my chipped front tooth and did such a great job you would never be able to tell. His staff is all very kind and helpful. Highly recommend this dental practice."

"I have found the staff at Dr. Mobilia's office to be wonderful. They remember who we are and ask after family members that aren't there. Dr. John is great with the kids. My wife has an extreme dental phobia, but she is able to go to this office because Dr. Julia and the staff are understanding and willing to find ways to accommodate her. I also like the fact that they tell you AHEAD of time what the damage is going to look like. I've never had sticker shock after the fact (unlike other providers I've seen in the past)."

"First off, Dr.John Mobilia is wonderful and my children loved him; so it is very disappointing that his front office staff is so unbelievably unprofessional, dishonest and rude. The woman working the front office- she gave me two different names-over charged me for services clearly covered by insurance. She refused to give me the procedure codes used to bill for my children, and repeatedly told me I was wrong. She is incredibly aggressive, rude and someone I wish to never speak with or see ever again. I have filed a grievance with my insurance to receive a refund. It’s a shame Dr.Mobilia employs such an unprofessional impolite person and has her as the main contact for patients. I honestly don’t know why anyone would ever return to this office after interacting with her. If you’re looking for a new general dentist office I would keep looking! Save yourself the headache, you do not deserve to be treated the way I was by this office staff!"

"I've been going to Dr. John's office for years now, and I'm completely satisfied. The staff and hygienists have been 100% courteous with me, and been forgiving of the times I miscalculated traffic before my appointments. Dr. Julia has been doing my dental work the whole time I've been going to this office. Dr. Julia is awesome. She's experienced, friendly, and effective. She also keeps me from freaking out due to my dentistaphobia."
