"If I could give less than one star I would. My dad, a Middle Eastern man, went in to get work done. He has Medi-Cal Dental and was discriminated against because of this. Unprovoked, he was yelled at and told he should be appreciative of the "free" dental work he was receiving. One of the other dentists approached my father and apologized on his colleague's behalf. My dad was too scared to complain because he needs to get this dental work done. It is absolutely appalling that someone can look down on another human being due to their socioeconomic status or anything else. By the looks of the other reviews, this is not a one time thing. I'm not sure if this is racism at play or just outright discrimination, but some people need a lesson in treating others with kindness and compassion. If I were you, I would not go here."
"I am writing now, however it happened in 2020. I was sent to a root canal work by a dental clinic. It was my first experience locally. I did all my tooth work overseas and never knew how they fixed root canals. So, after a root canal was done, an assistant started to fill out a cavity with a temporary filling. And she left a cavity open. I was like, Ok, they know what they are doing.. Plus, I did not feel well after a local anesthesia, even it was , as they claimed , without epinephrine, I felt rash, anxiety and as if I am swollen inside. So, I was cautious about making the next appointment..But the worst part is - because a cavity was still open all food went into it ...As a result - I lost my tooth, my healthy tooth, a molar, because I couldn't go to a dentist in a short time. All these years I thout it was just my fault, but when I recently went to another dental clinic I found out that those guys were so wrong having me left with uncovered cavity. Terrible and unprofessional! Do not recommend."
"First off, everything in this office, any communication is done by text message. Phone calls are not answered, all is done through text messages. Even sending messages back-and-forth regarding personal medical information. Can somebody say HIPPA! The front staff does not really keep eye contact, they are more busy showing things to each other on the phone and having private conversations. Last year November, I saw Doctor Reesor to look into a root canal that according to Medical was done incorrectly. Medical was not going to pay for the needed crown replacement unless the root canal was checked into. Doctor Reesor said that he does not see anything particularly wrong with it, but would be willing to go back in so that I could get the crown replacement approved. I finally had an appointment end of January at which I'm told that Dr. MacLachlan would do the surgery. Dr. MacLachlan walked in immediately telling me that "Your tooth has a lot of issues. I cannot promise anything, but will try." This was news to me since it is the opposite of Dr. Reesor's diagnosis, and so I went to enquire as to what is wrong, what changed. Dr. MacLachlan told me in an unfriendly tone "I do not have to explain anything, I can only try to fix it." My mouth, so my right to know what's going on. Is she trying to do unnecessary work? All the while I spoke with a normal tone, not accusatory or angry. I then proceeded to say to her "See, this is my problem with American dentistry...." at which point she ripped off her mask and told me "We are done here!" and walked off. I was left to sitting there for a while wondering if I was on Candid Camera or something, because I had never experienced such immaturity and unprofessionalism from any doctor. After a while, Dr. Reesor came in and explained to me that they don't need to explain anything to me, and if there's miscommunication between the surgeon and the patient in the beginning , they have the right to deny treatment. I don't have time to repeat everything else, but there was no changing his mind and I was spoken to as though I had caused this issue. I went to the front desk and asked if I was at least going to be referred somewhere else where Medical is taken to fix this tooth. Dr. Reesor without ever looking at me, just said to his staff "Give her a referral", as though I'm not even in the room. Is this the special treatment for Medical patients? If I had a high-end insurance, would I be treated differently? Anyway, I reported the office and both doctors to the medical board."
"Had my root canal performed by Dr. Mclachlan and she was fantastic! Extremely gentle, talked me through entire procedure and was so kind. The entire procedure was less than 40 mins and I felt at ease and safe. Dr. Mclachlan you are wonderful and I appreciate you and the kind staff."
"Do NOT go here. I just got sent home after getting to my appointment on time, they told me that my doctor is not in and that the other doc doesn’t feel comfortable operating on me. My brother went back inside as I was upset and spoke to DOCTOR HASAN DAUD as he blatantly stated that he wouldn’t operate on me because I cried last time. Are u kidding? Would u say that to a seven year old? He said it says in my notes that I cried and he doesn’t feel comfy with that. My brother asked if he could see my notes/records Doctor HASAN DAUD proceeded to try to charge him $25 for them. My brother said he’d pay and then he said sorry we can’t get those to you til Monday. I have been going to this dentist for more than a year now and they’ve gotten close to nowhere with fixing my teeth, cavities, etc. Because my insurance covers my visits and I only pay a dollar fee they do not prioritize me. If you don’t have big money they do not care about you, your health, or your teeth. They also kept my dollar even though they didn’t see me. (They did that last time too)"
