"I am so glad there is somewhere I can sing this doctor's praises to the world because if anyone deserves it, it is him. Dr. Kent Lofley is kind, patient, pleasant, caring, knowledgeable, good at helping patients understand, lovingly willing to take the time to talk about all that you need/continue adjusting you until you feel the best you can without ever making you feel like time is running out, & most of all excellent at doing orthopedic manipulations that truly solve the problems. His orthopedic manipulations are way better than a chiropractic adjustment because there are no fast jerky motions that crack joints (unless in rare situations when I need it he can) so I dont have to worry about being sore because it was a bit too much. He uses your gentle pushing against his arm or turning your head or leg while he holds your head or leg in a stretch or position to get the same result a chiropractor would... but it's better because he also will as needed get the muscle that's tightening/spasming to stop like a massage therapist would. It's so great to be able to trust that its okay that my neck and back hurt because I can go get my pain fixed, & have it done by someone I sincerely enjoy seeing. I love that while I'm getting adjusted I can mention any thoughts regarding my health (or my kids, mom, or husband's health who also see him) or doctor needs (like needing a prescription refill or referral), and it doesn't have to be a separate appointment. Actually I could even text him directly whenever I want & he is quick to respond like a kind family member would, which I appreciate more than patient portals. His office is so perfectly clean that it makes me want to go home and become a minimalist that bleaches daily. My kids enjoy seeing their fish tank and hearing about all the fish drama from his wife who is the friendly happy secretary, as well as seeing what new design his side table made in the sand with the magnetic ball under the glass. His phlebotomist is his grown daughter who is very intellegent & talented at comforting my children when they are over reacting in fear for a long time with a peaceful, patient demeanor (even providing water bottles for better hydration and flow). I love that he takes seriously my thoughts regarding what I think the health problem might be by being willing to test for things & refer me to specialists if needed to check, which helps put my mind at ease. I'm a very thorough person who wants to know how the body or medicine works in regard to the issue and he takes the time to explain to me all of that like a college anatomy professor would. My science loving daughter eats it up and thinks he is just the best. When he prescribes things he will either already have it in stock for whole sale or cheaper or he checks to see which pharmacy has it cheapest and how to get it even cheaper than that when you get there (with discount cards etc). Because we pay a flat fee per month (which is very affordable) we can go to him for doctors appointments as often as needed with no extra cost, and all the things needed while we are there are also no extra cost (like testing for strep, flu, covid, or things like hot packs or ice packs for sore areas). He offers many services at a ridiculously low price which saves tons of money (like freezing warts or removing skin tags for 5 dollars etc, which I wish I did with him because it cost me 300 at the dematologist). I have a young particularly challenging strong willed child with special needs who tends to have behavior problems that contribute to making us late frequently, but Dr. Lofley is loving and understanding and just smiles and never makes me feel even slightly bad for being late or his behavior at times and can usually accomodate still seeing me for the full time (which is like a breath of fresh air in comparison to the humiliation we suffer at times). We couldn't be more pleased and adore him and his family. Switching to him as a doctor was the best medical move we have done and highly recommend it to everyone else."

"I'm reluctant to write this review. But with today's economy, I want to share another option to try if you find yourself needing a Primary care provider. Many people can't afford regular health care right now, my hope is that they learn about Blue Ocean Family Medicine “Dr. Lofley” and his life goal for affordable care through his membership plan. Why am I reluctant to write this review? This Doctor is like a "hole in the wall" Dr. office that only a select few know about and you don't want the public to know about. Its that nice here. It's quiet. The cost is so affordable. And best yet, he is so sincere! He is so down to earth. He blocks more than enough time to hear your history and your goals. You're not schedule in to wait in a room for 45 minutes past your appt time to see him. I come into the lobby and within a few minutes he takes you back to take care of you. I first found Blue Ocean Family Medicine while I was looking for a new Primary care provider in February. I called initially to see if they were taking new patients with my insurance. When Dr. Lofley answered the phone, I was taken back. I'm so used to the multi layers of personnel to reach the doctor that I was surprised to be directly talking to him. Within those few minutes of talking with Dr. Lofley, I took a mental note to think about his membership plan while I tried other Doctors that took my insurance. I was always used to using my health insurance. But lately, with my old Dr. They were billing me for everything. I ended spending out of pocket close to $200 a month with my INS! After seeing a new Nurse Practitioner and being charged for $300 for talking with him for 45 minutes, All I got was referrals to see three other different Doctors for each one of my issues. It was a total waste of my time along with a huge bill. After this experience I went back to my mental note. I wanted to learn more about Dr. Lofley. I called back and scheduled a consultation to see if he was comfortable with my maintenance drugs and a chronic issue I have. Once we had that talk, I had no hesitation to sign up for his services. Throughout the few months I've been with his practice. Dr. Lofley is down to earth and open minded. Your health is so paramount to him. I was with my old Dr. for over a decade with my chronic issue. Out of all the options with them It was Dr. Lofley's suggestion to try a different route and the thought of it really gave me new hope. I'm excited. His office is quiet, He doesn't over book. I'm not there feeling I'm in line at a postal office with a 15 people to see one Doctor. Im the only one there. Again, I'm so reluctant to write this review. It's this nice here. I hoping this review helps you to know there are options for long term affordable care with an amazing Doctor to help you reach your goals on being healthier."
