Reviews of Vanderbilt Breast Center
"DONT GO HERE FOR ANY SURGERY OR BREAST OR CANCER TREATMENTS THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE. I wish I would have never allowed this place to treat my family member they cause more harm then good please take your loves ones or yourself to another hospital or breast center please do your research on your diagnosis or meds or what surgery you have to have, check out the doctors but this place needs to be closed down because it is unfit for patients care. Shame on you Vanderbilt Breast Center."
"The Vanderbilt Breast Ctr is a blessing to our community. They provide an invaluable service!!! Many women & their families can't thank them enough for having had their lives saved by them. But I just found out that they no longer accept Cash Pay Patients. This is very sad. I trust Vandy Breast Ctr. Anybody else will just cause me stress & worry due to the fact I will not have the same confidence in them as I do Vandy! I thought I could pay for the mammogram to see if there's changes to the tumor (biopsy from Premier Radiology said non-cancerous after doc said they did a "$hi#t¥ job" so I went to Vandy Breast Ctr for 2nd opinion) Wait & watch scenario. Cancelled Dec appt bc of $. Now that I have the $$$ they don't accept it. I'm so very discouraged!!! TN Breast & Cervical Cancer Program which got me on temporary BlueCare insurance didn't pay Premier Radiology so that's risky and will take about 3.5 months or longer. Vandy Financial Assistance takes a really long time too! Why I can't pay cash right now for a future appt is beyond me! Seems like an impossible hurtle everytime. I give up. It is what it is. Just going to live for as long as I live & manage symptoms that just started about 2 wks ago the best I can on my own. That's all I know to do anymore. Hopefully Premiere Radiology is right about it being non-cancerous."
"In 2021 I got diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer IDC in situ. Er/pr +, HER2-. My main doctors I see are Dr. Connor and Dr. Meszoely and I love them both. They answer any questions I have and take care of anything I’m concerned about. The wait time does get frustrating since I’m 2 hours away and always get there 30 minutes before my appointment starts. I saw dr. Connors assistant today Brianna and she was very informative about my recent fat graft surgery last Friday. I expressed concern about a lump I felt in my armpit and she recommended making appointment to see Dr. meszoely. Overall I love coming to my appointments :-)"
"After the negligible treatment I received from Blanchfield Hospital on Fort Campbell and the nonchalant treatment I received from Tennessee Oncology, it was so refreshing to be seen by a team of cancer doctors at Vanderbilt who seemed to really care about me and respect my decision not to have chemo or radiation. They did not dismiss me as if I have chosen to die but was willing to work with me and suggest and advise me of what is available. They even educated me on the pros and cons of my decision and supported me with valuable information to support my holistic approach. The cancer removal surgery was done so well and painlessly that I was healed in 2 weeks and did not have to use drugs except for the antibiotic. I highly recommend this hospital for your cancer treatment."
"I moved to the Nashville area from Knoxville area 4 years ago. Two time breast cancer survivor. Had wonderful treatment in Knoxville at KCBC for 15 years. When I moved here a chose Vanderbilt as my doctors. Ever year since moving here Vanderbilt as canceled my appointments to see Mary Egbert. She always going on vacations. My regular appointments should be every April. Now it’s July and they called again to change because once again due to her vacation. I’m done with Vanderbilt. Every year my appointments have canceled or changed which delays it every year since moving here."
