Reviews of North Heacock Dental Group
"I've been going here for over 30 years. Very friendly staff, painless service, all the most modern equipment, and affordable prices. Accepts my Delta Dental insurance. Recommend full heartedly. Had cap come off just now and i am sure they will squeeze me in to put it back on today."
"Horrible customer service/office receptionist/ manager. I had a cleaning by them about a year ago. I did not have the best experience then. The hygienist was not friendly, she was rough, and bad mouthing the office/lack of technology in office. I chose not to go back because of this, as well as not doing a thorough job. The old hygentist they had for many many years was great, but no longer with them. Since then I got voicemail after voicemail asking to come back and make an appointment for a cleaning. Desperate if you ask me. Left over 8 voicemails over months span. I finally called them back and let them know I was not ready to make an appointment at the time. Then 2 weeks ago, I got a call from a receptionist there asking if I would like to come in for a cleaning. I let her know I needed to contact my insurance to see if I am due for my cleaning so it was covered. I just called back to make an apt. Receptionist put me on hold and spoke to office manager which I am assuming is Renee, then said that due to the none response, I was dismissed from office. Who does that??? I got calls and calls trying to get me back in and had the courtesy to let them know I was not ready and literally called me two weeks ago asking to make an appointment and I would check and call back! The sad thing is that my family has gone there for years and I went to this provider when I was growing up. I will never be back again!"
"Very bad communication skills. I went in for my appointment today For a cleaning that I scheduled a month ago and the dentists wife told me that she tried to call me multiple times yesterday to confirm my appointment and because I did not get back to her they canceled my appointment without telling me. She only called once and asked that I call her back to confirm. I was at work and if she would have told me that I had to confirm or else my appointment would be canceled then I would not be upset and would understand."
"I found it interesting that this dental practice pays for Google ad words to obtain patience and refused to except my 84-year-old mother to get zoom teeth whitening. She was told by the receptionist to obtain x-rays from her other dentist so my mother spent the time to do so. She called the office back after she was told she could an get appointment the next day, but the doctor’s wife answered the phone when my mother called to set up appointment, and she refused to except her because she was not in the existing patient. I then called the office myself, and the doctor’s wife (I believe Rene is her name) said the earlier person who answered the phone was "new to the practice in didn’t know any better." I find this extremely rude and a horrible policy for the office. My hope is that they change this policy for other people as it appears that they have plenty of patients and don’t need any new ones. Little does this wife’s doctor know that my mother has 74 grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all live in the area of Moreno Valley. She is the one who does the scouting for dentist for the entire family for the last 50 years. They won’t be going to this office. I hope this helps the office in amending their policy. I’m sure the doctors are fine people so my review is not about them and they may not even know if this occurred. Hopefully, Rene, the wife may learn something from this, but when I asked for the doctor to please call me, she asserted, "you should know I'm the doctor's wife," in other words, "good luck on changing what I told you." Hard to imagine that any practice would refuse giving a service and throw away $300. My wish is they'll change the policy, and if so, I'll remove this review. Kind regards, her son Greg"
"Let me start off by saying their communication skills are HORRENDOUS. They've rescheduled appointments I've made a month prior without telling me ahead of time, changed my appointment time within an hour of my original appointment and never update my phone number when I get a new number! The first time I went in I got a routine cleaning which was... half way decent. The second cleaning I got was so half assed I was done in less than 3 minutes of sitting in the chair. Then came wisdom tooth extractions... I had to get cleared by my insurance to have them pulled and they told me they'd send a post card in the mail to inform me when my insurance approved it. A month or two later no post card? So I call and ask what's going on because at this point I'm in a lot of pain from the impacted wisdom teeth they were fully aware of and they tell me "oh you've been approved a while ago would you like to make an appointment?" Um... why wasn't I informed? So I go to get my first tooth done (even though I was under the impression it was going to be at least 2 at a time) and after the procedure I get sent home... no ibuprofen, no antibiotics, no aftercare information NOTHING. I call to ask if I needed a prescription for pain and they tell me just to take Advil? The second tooth extraction, the dentist is late, extremely rude and EXTREMELY ROUGH! He slips as hes pulling my tooth and hits all my other teeth with the metal tool. I begin to have a panic attack which was very clear and he tells me "calm down its not that bad it doesn't hurt it's just pressure" how do you know if it's MY mouth! After the procedure he literally tosses a prescription for ibuprofen 800mg. Days later the pain is so intense after following all his instructions and then some that I go to the e.r, the doctors tell me I should have been prescribed antibiotics and actual pain medication. So here I am now, a sore throat, jaw and socket with an infection and no sympathy or kindness when I call the dentist to see what to do about the issues. I still have an open hole from the last extraction done over a month and a half ago and an infection in the one done a few days back. Save yourself from going to this dentist. You'll thank me in the long run. The nurses are kind but the receptionist in the back and the dentist himself are rude and careless. I will NEVER return even if it was the last dentist office on earth."
