"I came in for a sinus infection and they prescribed me a antibiotic and after I finished my prescription the infection wasn’t gone and I called to ask them if I could come back and get more antibiotics they wanted to charge me the normal visit rate and refused to give me a free visit or extremely discounted rate. I have been coming to this office since they opened in the other building next door. To have them treat me like this is demeaning. If you want a good experience go to saint thomas medical Center to one of their doctors offices they care about people."
"Dr Wei is always a top notched provider. Always good job on my physical labs come back in timely manner. Keep in mind he is a private business and has bills to pay, staff, utilities etc..he's NOT part of some big corporation like Vandy..so when patients don't pay there bills he can't keep giving them free care, although I know he has let people slide or payment plans but then they take advantage of that. Kim office manager is great too."
"Very horrible experience and they don’t care about their patients at all. Called them multiples times because I can’t get my medicine from the pharmacy. Instead of double checking the address with me or telling me where they send it, she just got mad at me and keep hanging up on me. My condition just got worst and they don’t even care what happened to the patients after they get the money from them. Not worth going there and there are a lot of good places to go where the stuff and doctors really care. But not this place."
"I have seen Dr. Wei since 2005. I had Covid in Jan of 2022 and it has taken me this long to write this review as I am still thoroughly upset with my last experience. I called the office three days in a row as I tested positive and was very ill and unable to breathe. I finally got a call back late on the 3rd day of trying and Dr. Wei called in prescription. I started to cough up blood and called back two days later. The issue was not the treatment that I FINALLY RECEIVED, but it came down to money. I have always paid promptly when visiting his office. I honestly was not aware of the Telehealth visit charges in place since Covid started and questioned the receptionist about it as I just asked for a prescription to be called in and didn't go in as I didn't want to spread Covid. She asked if I wanted Dr. Wei to call be back about it and I said no, that I would speak with my insurance company to verify it. And I do remember saying that I couldn't believe he was charging me. Even after I said no more that once, she told him that I questioned his billing practice. He consistently staffs young girls that don't seem to care or have time for the patients. But he called me the next day and left me a vmm saying that he would gladly explain it. I dismissed it because at that point BCBS said it was now customary and I was sick and could barely talk. Fine. NP. Dr. Wei calls me the next day, livid. I was still very sick and he literally screams at me and says I hurt his feelings for questioning how he billed me and said that he would no longer treat me as a patient. He lost his temper and showed no professionalism. Although some of his staff has said over the years that he was capable of that behavior and that he is past frugal, I didn't believe it and had so much respect for him up until that day. This has bothered me so much and I can't seem to shake the experience. I am not sure of everything the very young girl at the front said to him about my call and I accept my responsibility for questioning why and should have just asked BCBS first. But it apparently touched a nerve deep inside of him somewhere. He said he thought we had a better relationship. And honestly, I did too. But if we did, why did it take that many phone calls for him to get back to me if he cared so much about my well-being. In the midst of our argument, I told him that never intended to insult him. He was so angry, what I said didn't matter even though in my opinion, he was wrong and handled this situation completely wrong. I can't figure out if I am/was more angry, disappointed, disgruntled, or just hurt. Maybe all of the above. Talk about regrets. I know that doctors are people too. But I hold them personally to a higher standard. I know what my take-away has been. And I do believe that he has thought more than once about this since it happened. The entire ordeal has been big one for me. :-("
