"Called looking for a new place. So many barbers only seem to know how to do clipper cuts and fades. I’m an older executive with longer hair so not my jam. I explained to the woman I spoke with what I was hoping to find. She listened carefully, checked with the stylists to ensure you could deliver, and booked me same day. Wow. Woman who cut my hair was awesome, knew how to get it shorter and more business appropriate without the usual dandelion head from short hair and cowlicks. Signed up for the monthly plan. Nice what you’ve built. Keep that same level of care please!"
"Great experience every time I go, and always look forward to it. I usually don’t look forward to a haircut but going here is an experience. They offer you a drink when you get there and they have all types of soft drinks, beers, and spirits including some pretty good bourbon. Never had a bad experience. Alicia is great for haircuts and Mary is great for finger and toe nails, but they are all great. Definitely recommend."
"I've been living in CA for 2 years. Before that, I had the same stylist for 15+ years. When I first met Jill 2 years ago (different location), I was very transparent about my haircut anxiety. For me, haircuts are a brief 30 minute escape from reality and a time I am fully relaxed. Ever since the first appointment with her, she had me hooked. I've always been a loyalist to the stylist and not the location. Jill is very understanding and accommodating to the individual needs of her clients. Each time I return, I feel like our conversations pick up from where we left off the last time I was in. She takes pride in her craft and you can see it as she's cutting. Another 5 star rating is the ease and convenience of booking online. I have a very hectic and irregular schedule, so calling in and trying to find a day and time that works for me can be a challenge. Using the online system, I don't have to bother anyone and do the back and forth of "what about this day between these hours? How about this day? Anything after 5?" Also, the small, complimentary details enhance the overall experience. The glass of wine, the low ball glass of whiskey, can of sparkling water, etc. Also, the aromatic hot towel on the face, the fragrances of the shampoo/conditioner, the scalp massage, the quality of the hair product etc. These are all very subtle, simple, but yet wonderful touches that allow the stylists to go above and beyond what is typically expected at a hair salon."

"Summary - Decent but inconsistent cuts, top of market prices, and questionable personalities that can create an uncomfortable vibe. Young men/professionals looking for great-looking/value-rich cuts that will boost your confidence and a comfortable barbering environment, go elsewhere. — Was a client/member here for ~14 months. In that time I went through 5 stylists, 1 of which was bad, 3 of which left or were, apparently, fired (turnover was a frustration). My last stylist cared about his work which I do appreciate. That care resulted in an often slow cut and some unrequested extras that ranged from endearing to awkward though. I share that because it’s relevant to why I recently took my business elsewhere. I’ve been getting the same cut for over a year, “fade + very little off the top”, sometimes just a fade with “nothing off the top”. I don’t do shampoos, back rubs, beer or any of the other whistles they offer. Just a straight up cut, 20% tip, and out the door, twice per month. 3 of the 5 barbers I had did this cut in 30 minutes or less. 1 was still working on his license and was transparent about how he takes a little longer. My last barber, as mentioned, was the slowest of the bunch because he is obsessive. Never a problem on my end (the variable cut speeds) and it wasn’t a problem on the business’ end for the 4 months I worked with him and the 10 months I worked with others. Unfortunately, a woman I won’t publicly name at the front desk suddenly chose to create an issue and in a weird, borderline personal fashion. She made clear to me after my last cut that given my barber’s speed, even without shampoos or any other extras, I’d need to start paying for premium cuts if I wanted to keep coming in. Premium cuts are $82.50… for a fade and a little/nothing off the top, prior to tip (with a slight discount if you subscribe to their membership). That’s crazy but what’s worse is that the aforementioned front desk person implied I was gaming the system by having a grandfathered in lower rate membership “[The price you’re paying] is good for you but not for us!” (I am a longtime customer who the business chose to grandfather in, not at my request). She also insisted people had told me prior that I couldn’t be getting my hair cut at a classic cut rate ($55 before tip with a slight discount if you’re a member). Even when I told her that wasn’t the case, she continued with that accusation a couple of times (fyi, implying that your regulars are liars is bad for business). I’ve had minor issues with this person before with her loudly outing that my last barber had been fired rather than having chosen to leave which I thought was unprofessional, touching my head during cuts with my barber as she’s trying to glean leanings from his work (this isn’t a salon school and I’m not a training model) among a couple of other small things that frankly, I tried not to read too much into… but that last check out experience plus how indifferent the person was when I called in to cancel my membership the next day made me feel like I was over paying for okay cuts at a place that didn’t value my business. Won’t be coming back, am saving money on better cuts now, and I think the owner needs to give some re-training on the value of customer retention and service principals, especially at these prices.
