Reviews of Franklin Healthcare for Women, PLLC
"Tracy Nims is the best. She delivered my son 9 yrs ago. I had complications and lost my mom when i was 7 months pregnant and even though some say she dont have bedside manner, This lady cares all about the patient and the baby. She is very truthful and honest and puts her patients care first. I highly recommend her."
"I've been seeing Dr. Nims for about 4 years now and I've had excellent experiences. Sure, there have been a few times I've had to wait longer than I would have liked, but I've come to realize that's often the way it goes in that the doctors often have deliveries, etc. My previous OB/GYN in my hometown was the same....I usually waited a while to see her, but the care was excellent. Dr. Nims cared for me during both of my pregnancies and delivered my first, and just missed delivering my 2nd because my baby came early and fast! But thankfully, there were no complications with either pregnancy or delivery. I fell into the Advanced Maternity Age with both of my babies, and Dr. Nims was able to put me at ease about this and guide me through the process while providing realistic expectations. I appreciate that she has always been easily accessible when I needed to ask a question, or had any concerns. I typically was able to reach her by phone or have her return my call quickly if she was unavailable. I have found Dr. Nims to be very personable, and knowledgeable. As someone here has already stated, she's a straight shooter and may be seen as being abrasive, but that is not at all the case. I've found that she genuinely cares about her patients and their well being and strives to give the best possible care. My friend referred me to Dr. Nims and she also sings her praises. I'm happy I've been able to receive care from Dr. Nims."
"Dr. Nims is fabulous! She delivered all 3 of my babies and took wonderful care of me each and every single time. I was not the typical patient when I visited her for the very first time, I was slightly overweight and also approaching 35 and already labeled as advanced maternal age. She gave me outstanding care, personally addressed every single concern, returned every single phone call I, or my husband, ever made regarding questions or concerns I had with all 3 of my pregnancies! I had my babies at 35, 38 and 42 years of age, she knew I wanted natural childbirth and worked with me to achieve that every single time. I had slight complications during delivery of my 3rd, she held my hand, reassured and eased my fears and my husbands and explained every single issue that came up. She demanded the best care for me from the nurses and she stayed on top of it the entire time. She always made sure I knew if she was going to be out of the office, on vacation, etc. Dr. Nims is very no nonsense and straightforward, she can come off as a little abrasive, however I assure you she completely has her patients and their babies very best interest at heart 24/7. I think people often forget that Doctors are people to, they have their own lives and issues going on and they can come across as distracted or hurried. As with any OB office, occasionally you may have to wait, emergency deliveries and patients with complications will take priority over a basic OB check up. She has a very small office, there was no rotating Doctors, she was it! I didn't worry at all that I'd have someone i had never seen delivering my babies, I knew she'd be the one to do it! I highly recommend Dr. Tracy Nims!!"
"We are having our first baby and are both very new to the whole experience. We have done our research accepted help and advice from both sides of our family, but at the end of the day it's your doctor that should be offering the guidance and direction that you need during this 9 month period. After all, it is your monthly insurance payment that is paying their wage. If you are new to the experience of pregnancy and do not already have a family doctor to see, I do not recommend seeing Dr. Nims.(I do not recommend seeing her at all whether it's your first baby or not but I'm trying to be fair to our situation here.) She is very impersonal and seemingly just going through the motions that she's supposed to go through. Pretty sure the only reason she really remembers my name is because I tell the nurse who I am as I walk in for each appointment and the nurse hands her my files. Which is okay to an extent, I understand that the medical field is a busy stressful occupation and I do not expect perfection. But what put me over the edge is her condescending rude approach towards concerns I had. I was having more intense pregnancy symptoms than what had occurred previously(I am 5 months now) and simply wanted to check in with her to make sure all was well. She was a half hour late for the appointment which is understandable, but has happened often. The nurse was great. She took me in and showed me the baby's heart was strong and healthy and reassured me on that end. When I finally did see Dr. Nims to talk about the symptoms it was as if I was not being heard and that I was wasting her time. When trying to explain the severity of the stomach pains I had been feeling I was cut off each time, being told it's called being pregnant. Did not have any questions about my symptoms, did not have any advice on how to deal with them, did not offer any guidance or even any concern into the matter. Never even gave me the chance to fully explain what was going on before the interruptions and obvious agitation. I expressed to her that I did not feel I was being heard, which agitated her further and caused her to raise her voice. I decided I was done at that point and was beginning to grab my things to leave when she told me that I am not to leave and if I do I am to find a new doctor, which at that point was no problem to me and I preceded to leave. Our next appointment was for our sex reveal, which is in a separate office and is a separate procedure that Dr Nims has no part in. Come to find out, Dr Nims had taken the liberty to cancel that appointment for us which feels very malicious at this point. The point being, whether this is your first pregnancy or not the bottom line is that this is a very special time of your life, and the doctor you are seeing should not take away from this. I am only thankful that the true colors were revealed at this stage and this doctor will not be the one to help bring our baby into this world. I not only advice that you do not see Dr Nims, but all of you that are new to this experience like we are, that you please do your research in finding the right doctor because they truly do make a difference to this whole experience."
"Dr. Nims is very rude and mean OB. I do NOT recommend her to anyone. She will not attend anyone who is over weight, she will not circumcise any non-white newborn boy. She mistreats Medicade patients and are only somewhat nice to those who pay. If you want a smooth and stress free pregnancy and not get your feelings hurt go to an OB that will treat you nice and who actually cares about your pregnancy."
