"Seems to hurt the public more than help. This business is poorly ran and should be shut down"
"Tenants routinely receive letters threatening them with eviction from their apartments for violations in accordance to their legally binding contract. However, I’m in compliance, so why am I routinely receiving letters from Dyersburg Housing Authority informing me that an observation was made “at”, or “on” my assigned property when clearly the observation didn’t happen at all, or the organization is sending out mass form letters to all of its residents. My property is extremely well kept... no unauthorized items such as: *Swing sets. *Large chain link dog runs. *Discarded household trash & toys constantly laying in the yards. *Use of household furniture as lawn furnishings. *Vehicles parked in the yards...and the list goes on. It boggles my mind to think about how much taxpayer money is being wasted annually on needless correspondence through the post office to those tenants who comply by the rules. *Stamps/Postage. *Envelopes. *Paper. *Toner cartridge. * Reduced hourly efficiency of taxpayer-funded employees. If a personal observation was, or is made by an DHA employee, then there should be some kind of supporting evidence such as a photograph or video to substantiate the organizations claim(s). When a letter is specifically addressed to me, and upon opening it, I’m threatened with eviction for not complying with my contractual obligations... I honestly have an issue with that, particularly if I was not in violation to begin with. DHA management needs to get out of that office setting, drive around their numerous properties, and see for themselves who is, and who isn’t complying with the property standards put forth in our contract. The maintenance personnel are in the various neighborhoods everyday Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Common sense tells me that they see the very same violations that I do, plus so much more truth be known. It’s not that difficult. DHA personal who are out in the field on a daily basis sees a violation. *Snap picture with smart phone. *Send picture to office personal via text, or email. *Office identifies & contacts only that tenant via mail with consequences for noncompliance. *Swift, decisive corrective action to force tenant(s) to comply. *Noncompliance justifies eviction. DHA simply needs to ENFORCE the rules that both parties have agreed to."
"Seems like an interrogation process when applying for an apartment."
