Reviews of Easton Apartments
"First the pictures do not represent what the apartments look like at all. The office staff is terrible. They don't take care of any situations going on there. Example, people shooting caps in their apt sounding like gunshots. That's illegal. Wouldn't accommodate me with a different unit to wheel a handicap child in and out. I was told to find anyone off the street to carry her upstairs. 3 years my patio door was never fixed. Now I'm going to have to call an attorney for my security deposit because they are going past the number of days for return."
"Worst interaction with the lady Heather working today 04/29 10:30am that provides “customer service”. Came to help translate my family member and she was not friendly at all, she called herself manager. She didn’t even wanna see our receipts and she ended up checking them after I kept telling her my family member was charged twice this April month. And the bill that was sent to my family member was wrong. Everything wrong with this place starting with that lady that works at information center. Coming Monday to talk to a real manager. Also I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau."
"I have lived at Easton for 2+ years, and overall, my experience hasn’t been bad. Rent was reasonable when I moved in, and because I renewed my lease with a 15-month term in March 2022, my monthly rate remains reasonable. However, I don’t think it’s reasonable for new tenants, based on what my floor plan is going for on their website and the fact that one-bedroom units don’t have washer/dryer hookups. Here are some things to consider before choosing Easton: 1. Maintenance is prompt in answering calls and work orders, but the work itself leaves much to be desired, specifically in the HVAC arena. I have had ongoing AC and heat issues practically since I moved in. Any weather change will render my AC unit inoperable, causing me to have to deal with extremely cold and hot temperatures throughout my tenancy. The three weeks I spent in the middle of the summer with a window unit while they waited for an entirely new AC unit to come in, only for that new unit to break as well, come to mind. 2. Roaches. They are here. In spades. I’m not sure what the monthly pest control fee I pay actually goes towards. 3. The leasing office staff are friendly and usually prompt in attending to your concerns. We have had several front desk staff changes, but Brittney has been here the whole time I have and is always helpful. 4. The dryers in the laundry facility don’t work, despite the laundry facility being closed for three months last summer so they could be fixed. I and all my neighbors use nearby laundromats, so factor that into your monthly budget. 5. Be advised that there are no security cameras on the property, and this area is a popular location for break-ins and carjackings. My car was sideswiped very badly in the parking lot last summer, and no one could give me any information except to say that they were “working on installing security cameras.” 6. Trash gets a little out of hand sometimes, and in the parking lot of the M building, there is a pile of old furniture. 7. The parking situation is jacked up. I’m not sure if it’s an influx of visitors, or if multiple tenants all have multiple cars, but everyone and their mother parks on the curb/in fire lanes and creates blind corners, particularly outside the M building and the one across from it (not sure of the letter). This creates a dangerous driving environment and could negatively impact the ability of emergency services to arrive at said emergencies. Immobilized vehicles have also been parked outside of my building for months at a time. There have been multiple bulletins sent out by management, warning that cars will be towed if immobilized or improperly parked, but it shows no signs of stopping. Despite the negativity of some of these notes, I have had an overall positive experience living at Easton. The issues aren’t make-or-break, except the AC and the roaches. The pool is great in the summer, the neighbors are nice, and the rent - while I still don’t think the prices currently listed online are reasonable - is on par with Nashville’s current market. The location is good if you work on this side of the river or downtown."
"Do not stay here! Parking is terrible! People park their cars right behind you to the point where you can’t get out at all. Reported this issue and nothing is being done. Neighbors are disgusting! Leave their trash bags outside door for days. Loud music ALL NIGHT AND MORNING from neighbors below. Neighbor got drunk and tried getting into our apt and others! Had to call police thinking someone was trying to break in at 3am. They steal your packages. ROACHES are bad. Spiders are everywhere. People don’t pick up after their pets. Balcony door has a crack outside concrete and door screen so cold air comes in. Everything breaks down! Some outlets don’t work. Water doesn’t stay hot no more than 5 minutes! Run bath on hot and you’ll see black stuff coming out leaving a black ring around the tub! Can’t get in touch with anyone and when you do they don’t come right away. Kitchen light was out for days before they unlocked my door while I was sleep to fix it. Which is weird. Floor is coming up. I can keep going! This place isn’t worth it! KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE"
"**Edit to include that office staff is always polite and easy to work with once you get ahold of them. It just really seems like the company that owns the complex is not willing to hire enough people to manage it. Office staff is hardly ever available during the hours they claim to be. Maintenence is nonexistent. I lived here for over a year and never received a mail key. I left the place spotless when I moved out, and didn't receive my security deposit for months. When I moved out, my resident portal told me I was paid up. Six months later I am being told I have an outstanding charge that can only be paid in person by money order."
