Vanderbilt Medical Infusion Clinic

"I love my nurses here Theresa, Sharon, Jenny, Linda..... I love them! When you're facing the front desk, there's a sweet woman with a pleasant accent that sits on the right side and in the middle. She's always kind, warm and professional. Try to check in with her if you can. The older woman on the left on the end with the glasses can sometimes be borderline curt, cold, or short with people. I wouldn't call her unpleasant. But I suspect she doesn't really love people all that much. Otherwise, everyone else is always great."

"The team here is amazing! They are funny and have great beside manners. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable because they understand that being there and what the patients are going through is not easy. They offer food, drinks, warmed blankets, as many pillows as you need to feel comfortable, private rooms for each patient, tv’s with cable in each room, and even light dimming. They make it so comfortable, I will sometimes take a nap during my infusion if I’m experiencing fatigue or exhaustion."

"I'm only giving a poor rating because of misleading texts. My experience overall at the clinic is just fine. But it is a major inconvenience when you get 2 separate text messages from the clinic stating they allow 2 guests, only to show up and find the information is false. They only allow one guest over the age of 16. So if you have little ones and think you'll be fine to drive an hour to your appointment with no babysitter because the text was incorrect, unfortunately that's not the case. I had one child with me, and she is 4, and would sit just fine in a room. I understand that they might have certain patients who cannot risk contact with sickness, but they come into the same amount of contact they would with my visitor as they do in any other part of the Vanderbilt Facility outside of the infusion clinic. So thanks for the huge inconvenience of dealing with a new angry child that was looking forward to staying with mommy, and inconveniencing my mom to watch both of my kids and she has issues with anxiety and her blood pressure. Very considerate of Vanderbilt."

"Waited an extra hour than they poked me 4 times without a success....obviously my cortisol levels were high probably after all the waiting.....which does not help finding a good vein. It's not rocket science to understand that staying on the schedule makes finding veins easier.I guess after nursing school you can add these cause and effect together..... They tried to apologize but when its only a curtain that divides you from staff and during the whole hour you only hear chit chatting and slow work.....does not help the situation....Previously, I waited already for treatment that I was not needed to happen finally they realized it......I drove back from Knoxville for that one left a family member in Hospital there...just to show up and wait for an unnecessary infusion.............so I do have a history.....and health issues are stressful anyway, but this kind of care does not help.....I am only writing this to try to effect positive changes nothing personal....and I hope someone will get this message!!! Waiting, listening to staff chats when you have other appointments to tackle in one day does not HELP to find a VEIN PEOPLE!"
