"The guy at the front desk was great. The PA I saw was also very good. She spent a good amount of time with me and was thorough. However the nurse, in a few short minutes was able to be argumentative, prying and nosey. Asking personal questions that had nothing to do with my visit. Also in the back office there was a lot of loud hysterical laughing within earshot of the entire space. It just wasn’t professional and not reflective of some of the top notch professionals at Vanderbilt. This is a convenient location for me and unfortunately due to one individual I won’t be back."
"Had a great experience today. I was able to save my spot online. I checked in on My Health at Vanderbilt when I arrived. I was seen quickly -- luckily it was a less busy day than sometimes occurs. Disclosure: I am a VUMC employee, but everyone else seemed to be being seen as quickly as I was."
"I visited this clinic in March of this year with my toddler son. Unfortunately it is now the end of the year and I am still dealing with the effects of incorrect billing from this clinic. I would preface this by saying we as a family have received a multitude of services from VUMC and have been extremely happy with them overall. This is the only location I absolutely cannot recommend. Without going into too many medical details, my son was sick; I called the pediatric nurse on-call through VUMC as it was Saturday. They suggested if we could go to either a walk in clinic or the ER. Since my son was doing ok at that point, we felt it would be easier to go to the walk in clinic. When we arrived, I checked in and briefly explained the situation to the front desk person. We waited in the waiting room for an unusually long amount of time considering it wasn’t crowded- at least 20-30 minutes. At that point, one of the clinicians pulled me aside to explain they could not treat my son because they did not have the means for appropriate testing and we would need to go to the ER. I was confused at this point as I felt he primarily needed to have his vital signs checked, temperature, and confirm whether or not he had an ear infection. They refused to take him into a room or even take any information on him. Reluctantly, when it was clear they were not going to take us in, we went to the ER. We spent a few hours there (and a few thousand dollars) to confirm that he was ok, and that there weren’t any “additional tests” needed that the walk-in clinic had alluded to. While I was happy my son was ok - no ear infection either - I was disappointed that we were pushed by the walk-in clinic into taking away resources from a busy ER for more substantial cases. So - while I do understand that the walk in clinic cannot see every type of case - the issue now is that they ended up charging us a few hundred dollars to essentially have us wait in the waiting room and decline service. I have been appealing with both VUMC and my insurance since we received a bill as I still have not been given an accurate explanation as to why we would be required to owe payment for my son’s visit when he in fact was not seen. We have paid VUMC thousands this year for various visits, all of which were warranted, including our visit to the ER that day. I stand by the fact that this visit was not only inaccurately billed, but we were inaccurately given information about further testing at the ER that wasn’t needed in order for us to leave. I will not be visiting this clinic again and I would strongly urge anyone, especially those with children, to defer to a pediatric urgent care location or direct to the ER rather than potentially be given the runaround and charged unnecessarily here."
"I walked in an hr and 20 mins before close, to see if my stitches were infected, I was told if I didn't have an appointment they wouldn't see me. ITS A WALK IN CLINIC I SHOULDN'T NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO BE SEEN! The lady at the front desk offered to give me an appointment but the whole time she's setting it up she is gossiping about someone to another worker. The lack of wanting to work was obvious but for a walk in clinic deny me service because I didn't have an appointment is alittle ridiculous"
"Amazing, who knew you could like health care this much. I'd never been to a walk in clinic, I had only been to urgent care, but now I will never go back to urgent care. Vanderbilt Health Walk In was so professional, so easy to set an appointment on line, greeted nicely, no extra forms. Then short wait time, treated like a human, listened to me, addressed my concerns and provided me with a referral so I don't have to pay high insurance prices. Blood work done in 10 minutes. I felt like I was the only patient they had that day, but they were taking care of everyone else just as well. My results came on the app while I was still getting dressed, yes, that fast. Now I'm happily writing this review because I have such peace of mind about my health issue and knowing that I don't have a health issue after all. Thank you."
