"As a new client, I‘m absolutely satisfied with my first visit. The staff was super welcoming. Teresa the office manager was super helpful. She broke down all the costs and options available to me. The dentist was patient and warm."
"Update to my most recent visit. I had a different dentist and I felt like the procedure was rushed and not thorough compared to my other cleaning visit."
"UPDATE from my last review. Even though they tried to force to pay 500 dollars for a bone graft in order to remove my wisdom tooth I'm glad I refused because I found out it was a SCAM and I didn't need the bone graft. I went to a different dentist and I got my wisdom extracted very EASILY with no bone graft. It healed fine with no nerve damage or complications. It was an impacted wisdom tooth too. Dont let them force you to pay a fee you dont need go to a different dentist. I also got my crown done at a different dentist with no cost because my insurance covers it even though Newport dental tried to charge me 1,000 dollars for that too. I should report them to the dental board."
"This was my Initial visit as a new patient and my experience was excellent. Dr Maria Acherman answered all of my questions and the staff was very friendly. See you in 6 months!"
"My experience at Newport Dental was TERRIBLE to say the least. The two ladies that work in the front desk one named Theresa and the other one (Im not sure her name maybe its Patricia?) were exremtly rude and disrespectful towards me when I tried to voice my requests, concerns and complaints about my dental procedures. Theresa the manager didnt listen to me at all and just told me that she doesnt care if I make complaints. I kept trying to be patient with them, but they keep delaying my crown procedure and leaving with an unfinished root canal with one thing after the next kept happening where I had no choice voice my complaint on here. First they kept trying to charge me 1,200 out of pocket for a crown even though my insurance approves and covers the procedure. They lied many times saying my insurance doesnt approve and they said even if they did approve its only metal crowns and they are not going to give me a crown if its metal (I called my insurance and found out that was lie). They lied and said I had to pay out of pocket right away after root canal because they dont do temporary crowns ( another lie). So I wanted to postpone the root canal at first to save money for the crown and they said I couldnt do that because my insurance didnt give me enough time(another lie). I finally found the truth When I told them my insurance approves zirconia crowns, but THEN they said it doesnt matter because Im not under 21 (another lie). When I kept telling them the truth and tried to get them to call my insurance they gave me a lot of attitude and refuse to do it. I had to get my insurance to call them myself for them to send the referral for the crown. I had to do their job for them. After weeks of stress I finally got an appoinment for the root canal. The root canal itself was long and painful because after the dentist finally called me after an hour but after numbing m I had to wait ANOTHER hour and 30 minutes because by the time he came back to me the anthesia started wearing off causing pain. After all of that the day of the appointment to FINALLY get my crown they said they couldnt do it because they said I had to get a wisdom tooth pulled first so I had to reschedule the crown AGAIN wasting my time going to the dentist office. But for the wisdom tooth I had a consultation TWICE about a month before the appointment and the Dentist didnt mention anything was needed not even a bone graft except a simple extraction and that it will be a simple procedure. BUT on the day to get the extraction 1 minute before the procedure was to be done Theresa told they are going to charge me 500 for an added bone graft. Why couldnt they tell me all this BEFOREHAND when they were showing me the wisdom tooth x ray consultation TWICE a month ago? Unfortunately, I did not have the money right then and there because I was not informed beforehand. I voiced my complaints to Theresa, but she didnt listen to me at all and just told me that she doesnt care if I make complaints and pretty much told me to pay now or leave. And after that I was tired and exhausted from all the lies and misinformation. Now Im here stillwith an unfinished root canal without a crown and a lot of lack of communication ."
