"Beware any esthetician looking to rent. I signed a 1 year (9 page long) lease— THAT should have been my first red flag. The owner tried to hold me liable of her renewal fees under the assumption she could grandfather me into her bills. I referenced my lease and reinstated that this was not included within our legal agreement. I mentioned I would remove all permanent makeup supplies, implements, etc and solely stick to esthetics. Upon upholding our legal agreement to a higher regard than the actual owner, she retaliated against me by breaking the lease. I restored the treatment room back to her requested preference, and was berated upon our final walk through while other estheticians and guest were present, including my own personal witness because her behavior is truly unethical. Her lease is extensive to cover her bases because she solely acts on emotion as opposed to rationality and ethics of business. In lighter terms, It would be pointless to take her to court as she’s included a clause that she will not be financially responsible for any legal discrepancies (like her breaking a year lease and holding any liability) I’ve restored and renovated the treatment room to her request and left touch up paint and still have not received an itemized list for any further needed restorations. I’ve sent certified mailed to request my deposit and still have not received a dime, only a “return to sender” I am not the first esthetician she has done this too, employee, or apprentice. I just wish someone would have informed me so here’s your— buyer beware!"
