"What a joke this place is. Website shows they are open. People have walked out of building. Lunch is between 12 and 1:00 website shows. It is 10 am and nobody is answering the phone. Nobody will open the door to let anyone in the building. They will not even acknowledge anyone at the door at all. My daughter was sent her by the Doctor's office and all the doctor's office says is well I am sorry she can't get in. We get lots of complaints on the Health Dept. in Olive Branch. There suggestion was to call Hernando Health Department. So, that is what we have done. Talked to a very sweet lady on the phone and we will be going there instead of Olive Branch now to get done what needs to be done. Someone should go and fix this problem. There were 2 others girls trying to get in and reach them on the phone just like we were and they did not get anywhere either."
"Had an appointment at one thirty for my son and when I went in the lady said they weren’t doing immunizations today and that I’d have to show her my card where it said that his appointment was today, which was essentially pointless because even after walking all the way back out to the car with my six month old in my arms and then going back in with the card, the other lady who came out did not care and was extremely snappy. I didn’t choose the date of his appointment—the lady at the front desk did. Definitely will not be traveling forty minutes out of the way to come back to this place."
"They were very polite, professional and helpful. I read the reviews before I went and expected it to be an awful experience since I had to take my 4 children. It was not what I expected! The woman at the front desk was very nice and more than willing to help me hunt down immunization records. We were in and out of there really fast with everything that we needed."
"This is the worst health department I’ve ever been to. I had an appointment on Tuesday and I couldn’t make it so one of the workers called me and asked me if I wanted to reschedule I said yes and she told me to come in at 3 on Friday. Well I run out of work to get there on time and the lady says I don’t have an appointment. I told her I did and she said she will still see me without an appointment. When I go inside the lady that’s weighing my daughter has an attitude and first thing she says is next time I come I need to make sure I have an appointment. I told her I did and she said I didn’t. I told her back with an attitude that I do have an appointment. And she asked who I told her who called and she still had an attitude. Like why are they making people appointments and then not putting it in the system and yelling at people telling them they don’t have an appointment. Thank God I only live 5 minutes from the place. I can’t imagine living far and showing up and them telling me I don’t have an appointment."
"Unprofessional and slow. I was asked to come in at 1p for the nurse to sign off on shot records. I waited almost 30 minutes for the clerk to sign me in because she was speaking to a friend about getting to work with the school district and other personal matter (being a single parent, the post office offering her 17 something an hour, and so on). She also announced to the whole office one of the clients couldn’t speak English and seemed a little disturbed that she needed someone to translate. The last thing she did was bumped the friend she was speaking with ahead of me and completed her paperwork, while I continued to wait for assistance. All this time and I still needed to get back to work. Things of this nature should not take place nor should others suffer for the sake of being a buddy or friend to office staff."
