Reviews of East Nashville Family Medicine
"I’ve been with ENFM since they opened ten years ago. Dr. Lewis has been incredibly patient and supportive. Mimi is compassionate and caring. I have read the reviews and I don’t understand the bad reviews. My doctor always gets back to me on the portal. She listens to me no matter how long I anxiously ramble. They have treated me with care and concern, whether my health issue is minor or major. I have never had a negative incident with any of the staff. But I also understand how busy they are, especially the front office staff, so I make sure to come in with empathy on their busy days. I remember they are human and that they have rules they must adhere to. I give them patience and then I receive kindness in return. I will continue to support this clinic for as long as I am in Nashville."
"I’ve been a patient here for a bit and I really enjoy Dr. Lewis. However, the front desk is severely understaffed and lacking compassion. I had an appointment to order bloodwork for life insurance, only a couple months postpartum. My son had a blowout on the way out the door which caused a delay so I tried calling the 13 minute drive en route to the doctors to say I’d be late. I was on hold for 10 minutes until I pulled into the parking lot. I was 15 minutes late and they only offer a 10 minute grace period which is why I called to try and call but I’m always kept on hold at this office. I got in they said I was pass the 10 minute grace period I explained my situation as a postpartum mom hoping for some compassion but the office manager came up and kept reiterating that statement. I started crying cause my postpartum hormones have me overwhelmed. I explained that I was on hold and the office manager said no one was on hold that morning…….I even SHOWED HER MY PHONE TO SHOW THE OUTGOING CALL AND TIME THAT I WAS ON THE CALL. And she reiterated no one was on hold. I’m done. To call me a liar when I’m showing proof and having a postpartum breakdown is absolutely lacking all types of compassion and rude. It would be one thing if she offered me solutions maybe a later time, a different say but instead in the face of evidence of my outgoing call that I was on hold she called me a liar. I will not be called a liar. I’m finding a different office. If they had a patient portal maybe this place would be worth it for the doctors but their front desk is lacking compassion and staffing clearly."
"Dr. Rozmond Lewis has been my doctor for over 10 years. I followed her from Stonecrest to East Nashville and now to Skyline. She has always trusted that I know my body and listened to me. She is attentive and compassionate. She has excellent bedside manner. The staff at East Nashville Family Medicine have always been kind, and it says something when a doctor's office does not have a high turnover. Most of the staff there have been there for years. I LOVE IT HERE!"
"Extremely caring and professional staff. I've witnessed some very aggressive people towards the receptionists but man are they tough and patient! I would have lost my temper but they were just super respectful- even to the disrespectful. I'm talking high quality, professional receptionists. They help guide you to the new location, make the office warm and welcoming. Just a very family atmosphere. Even with the tricky new location; it's worth the time and care from the staff compared to other locations. (( The practice is near Tristar Skyline Hospital. Use Google maps and follow the route exactly. You'll have to pass a display medical helicopter and cross an underpass where there are two long dumpsters, so it's one lane up a hill. It's the first building on the left. They are on the second floor at the very end of the left hallway. )) I'd remain cautious however with the Drs and their diagnosing. They are very friendly and kind...but the "doctor part" I've had a hard time with, honestly speaking. I had breathing difficulties and was told it was allergies. Turned out to be severe asthma where I need an inhaler every day. Also had stomach pains and was told it was gas/cramping. Turned out to be gallstones as I ended up in the ER in agony. Had my gallbladder removed. So a very scary, life threatening misdiagnosis... But they are a friendly and welcoming practice I still use and enjoy!"
"My husband had an appointment scheduled as a new patient for a physical this morning. Apparently this office just moved locations but no one told my husband that when he booked his appointment earlier this month. We arrive on time to the office on Woodland, because that's where GPS will also take you when you type in the practice name, to see a sign on the door saying they had moved to Dickerson. We called the office to tell them we were on our way and they were completely inflexible on seeing my husband in spite of this being their mistake. My husband never received a confirmation call, text or email at all, which, if he did, could've been an opportunity for them to share their new address, and again, he could've been told when he made his appointment that the office had JUST moved. It's not like they have been at this space for months at this point. They moved Sept. 1. Today is Sept. 27. Their complete lack of flexibility for their mistake and telling us they wouldn't see us even though we would have only arrived 1 minute after their grace period was shocking. If this attitude is any indication of the kind of care he would've received, I'm glad it didn't work out. I'm sure they'll probably still try and bill our insurance... -Updated a few hours later: check out their response below. What kind of response even is this? We did reach out to the office.... Who is running this correspondence w/ patients??? This is chaotic at best."
