Theatre Knoxville Downtown, located at 800 South Central Street in Knoxville, Tennessee, is proud to hold the title of Knoxville's oldest continuously operating, non-academic, all-volunteer, non-profit community theater. Originally chartered as Knoxville Community Theatre in 1976, the organization has been dedicated to promoting theater in the Knoxville metropolitan area and training aspiring performers. In 2005, Theatre Knoxville found its permanent home at 800 South Central Street and became known as Theatre Knoxville Downtown. With a mission to bring quality theatrical productions to the community, Theatre Knoxville Downtown has been breaking legs and entertaining audiences since 1976. "Have gone to several productions and love supporting local theater. The last show, And Then There Were None, was delightful. Assistant producer was a bit rude when we had a question and despite being GA seating the first row and a half was reserved. It's a small theater so all seats are decent but heard a lot of other people mention this not being right. Will be back."
"I absolutely love theatre Knoxville. I have seen many good shows there. I have been a fan since before they moved to the new location. The new location is easier to get to now. Parking is plentiful and they now have comfortable theater seating."
