"Please do not send your loved ones to this facility or any facility like it. Do not allow them to place your loved ones on any of the nasty drugs, including the Ativan. It will suck the soul out of them. I understand a benzo may be needed but Ativan can and will bring out your loved ones negative side. This industry is an industry of death. They held me in this place over 3 weeks. I wasn't allowed phone calls because they have 1 phone and they let it ring...purposely. It took 5 days minimum to get ahold of anyone on the outside. My mother could not get ahold of anyone and could find out NOTHING for DAYS at a time. NOONE would answer the phone in the unit for her. My mother had to call intake to finally get ahold of a decent person to transfer her to the director of nursing and other higher up departments to leave complaints. I got down to a deathly weight of 84 lbs and they let me sit in filth, making fun of instead of helping the helpless. Also all my belongings were stolen and the outfits my loved ones bought me were never gave to me. I wouldn't place my worst enemy in a place like this. They did nothing to help, there is no way of measuring the chemicals in the brain and they misdiagnose people and place them on terrible drugs. I am lucky to have got away from this place and their drugs. They failed to listen to my loved ones reasons on why I was there and they took it into their own hands. They pumped me full of terrible drugs and it took over a month to detox off of them.. but I am lucky to be completely clear headed, after leaving this facility and detoxing for over a month. I want to add, they are very VERY rough with all the patients. I have never hurt myself or anyone else. I do not have a criminal record and was treated worse than a prisoner."
"My son spent a short amount of time at this facility shortly after his horrible truck accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. They worked with him after having extensive spinal surgery. The team was very nice and attentive to his needs. I would recommend this facility for physical rehabilitation."
"As a mental Health patient myself. That was admitted to Trust Point. This place need so much work it’s unreal and you’ll wouldn’t believe the things most people went through as a patient. I myself was admitted to this awful place it was only supposed to be a 72 hour hold that turned into 120 hours. 120 hours five days five days I was away from my son five days I was away from my family. I had family members calling left and right and nothing was told to them. They even left a message so I would receive it and I was never received any message from my loved ones while I was in there. Trust Point has so Much patience it’s full. There was even a point where there was a patient in there that was off of their medication and terrify everybody even to the point where I felt so unsafe for a facility that is supposed to help people and not make them feel unsafe didn’t do their job right and I told them multiple times that I felt unsafe. And the only thing I was told was they couldn’t do anything about that. Not only that they kept our bedroom door locked the hole day and they kept all of us in one room Packed in like sardine. And for all Who is Admitted in trust point the best thing for you in there is to make friends it make the time go by and you’ll have friends for life cause your all in there for help and the only help you’ll get is from the friends you make that and the medication they give you to feel numb. I’m not going to lie even though that place is like a hell hole there are some wonderful staff/ employees/ and some nurses. If your in there involuntarily before you are released there are people that come by they are call the courts you have to sign this thing to where if you don’t sign it you would have to stay in Trust Point for another two weeks and go to court afterwards. If you do sign it you’re saying that you are voluntarily in there me and myself I didn’t completely understand that whole situation but of course I wanted to get out to get home to my family so I signed it that and I didn’t wanna have to wait two more weeks and go to court which I wouldn’t understand why I would have to go to court in first place. But I am now back at home safe and free living and loving life with my son & my angel whom saved me. My best friend, my rock, my sister Latina W you are my hero my angel I love you and I’m so blessed god put you and my son in my life…"
"Do NOT trust your loved ones to these people. These have NOT been compassionate people. They HAVE been awful. There are two very narrow windows of time to talk on the phone, one narrow window for visiting on one day at a terribly awkward time of day. When I do call during the times specified I am NOT EVER able to get through to my loved one. My loved tells how the staff are dehumanizing in their treatment of inpatients. I have yet to find anyone in employment there who cares. At no other facility I have seen such terrible policies, or unconcerned staff."
"Horrible establishment for mental health. My daughter was transported to this facility for inpatient mental health care. A nurse called me the morning she was admitted; she assured me the doctors and nurses would reach out to me later that day. I finally called late afternoon because I hadn't heard from anyone. My daughter is 3 hours from me and I had no idea what was going on. I finally got to speak to my daughter that night and she informed me the doctor had already prescribed her medication. Since my daughter is 17, she is able to consent to medication. I do not agree with this and think the doctors/nurses should still communicate this with the parents. There are "rules" to follow in order to visit with the patient. I witnessed parents keeping their phones in their pockets when we were not permitted to even bring them into the building - this place is very loose on their "rules". I spoke with the social worker 3 times in 10 days. I am less than satisfied with this experience. My daughter did not receive any therapy or mental health services - she was only medicated and observed for 10 days. The system for mental health is beyond broken and I am very regretful I agreed to her going here. This truly is a sorry excuse for a mental health institution. Seriously reconsider sending a loved one here - in no way will it ever be beneficial. TrustPoint - DO BETTER!"
