Reviews
"Worked here for about 3 months about a year ago. I never write reviews and I know this is a late review. But when I worked there I was CONSTANTLY sick. The building had a black mold infestation and the higher ups knew about it, but continued not to do anything about it. A lot of my coworkers had constant ear infections, like me. I’ve had severe health problems since I was let go from there. I have monthly ear infections now, and I’m constantly sick due to being exposed to all the black mold. This place is a lawsuit away from being shut down. NEVER work for this place or send your loved ones here!!"
"The Nursing Staff and the attendents /patient aides are amazing, but Dr. Crawford is heartless and insensitive to the needs of patients and their families. If you don't have Passion for your field any longer maybe leaving is an option. I am updating this the head doctor and head over the hospital Joyce K need to be fired!!! they are heartless insensitive and do not care about the patients there. You sit behind a desk and make decisions on the lives of patients and never once consider the patient or their families. This place needs to be shut down and patients given a chance to have a quality of life instead of medicating them near death."
"An absolute hell hole. I have worked in the Mental Health/Social service field for about 40 years off and on. I was a patient at this facility 20 years ago. The horrors I experienced and witnessed are unimaginable. I could not self advocate as I was so fragile and depressed, and the PTSD afterwards rendered me almost totally helpless. I so much better now. My nightmare will not be in vain. The direct physical and psychological abuse I saw and experienced there should not have to be experienced by any human or animal. It was at the hands of direct staff. I was held down and choked.I was hoping it had gotten better. I see from scanning the reviews, It has not. I now work with people who sometimes come from there. This story has to be told. It can no longer be swept under the rug. I refuse to accept that this happened to me for no reason. I will tell my story, for the healing of all."
"This place is what nightmares are made of, literally after staying here for 5 days I will not watch movies with mental hospitals. If you have a loved one here please get them out because they are in serious danger!"
"My experience in this prison was disturbingly similar to Jack Nicholson’s in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. First off, I was misdiagnosed with schizophrenia and another “unspecified delusional disorder”. I was never evaluated or tested for these conditions, and did not even meet my doctor until my third day of being here. The medicine they had me on is typically used to treat patients with severe paranoid delusions and hallucinations. I have been away from this prison for days now and I am still suffering severe psychological and physical affects from being misdiagnosed and wrongly medicated. Not only this, they had me in group meetings for drug and alcohol abuse solely because there was nicotine in my system upon arrival. I was admitted to this place for depression and suicidal thoughts. I did not once receive anything close to the proper treatment I begged them for. I was insulted, harassed, abused, lied to, and neglected by staff. One horrifying example, is one patient who was highly unstable and had to be brought in completely restrained due to violent outbursts, was repeating thoughts of murdering other patients. I reported this twice to staff, and the patient was still walking around freely the next day (nearly naked mind you). He was not the only patient I heard making homicidal threats. Once when I was at the desk, another patient was attempting to climb over to attack the nurse working. Tell me how it makes sense for patients in that sort of condition to be in general population. A general population which was mostly calm and non violent, despite what this place says on the website. Please, I beg of you, if you have a friend or loved one in this place, get them out. If that means sending them to a different facility, do it. I saw multiple laws broken, and human rights violations. This place is not safe for anyone, and especially not for those who are already vulnerable. I am completely destroyed after my time here and will be consulting with my attorney and possible the State of Tennessee once I am more healed from the trauma. Say a prayer for every poor soul trapped in this hell on earth. They need it."
