Reviews
"Before writing my review, I read a few of the others. Comparing this Faire to others is not equal. We usually compare all faires to Holly, Michigan ourselves which is unjust to this faire that only started about 6 or 7 years ago it seems like. They have come a long way and seem to add something every year. I would of been much happier with a $10 or $15 ticket. $20 just seemed a little to much for all you get. I did like the different acts and the covered seating area from the sun. The sun cover at the jousting arena blocked the view of the folks on the hill side. If the price stays at $20 next year, I believe we will return to see what has been added. There was a great number of people dress in medieval costumes which adds to the feel. Maybe I will enter my name into the hat to present an act. Keep up the work on building the medieval faire."
"Pros: -they did a thing called a trinket trade thru the vendors with the kids and my nephew loved that! -the staff was very nice Cons - extremely small. The cost of $20 to get in was definitely not worth it. To walk the whole thing only takes maybe 20 minutes. - I felt like I was going to a craft fair rather than a midevil fair -my turkey leg was $17 and dry. -very limited drink and food options. Overall the kids had fun but from an adults perspective save your money."
"This was my first time visiting Tennessee Medieval Faire, after always going to Colorado's Renaissance Festival. I knew it was going to be a much smaller scale, but it seems like there's so much negative space. Like the venue could definitely have more. For $20/person to get in, with no other entertainment past a couple shows seems like my dollar didn't go far at all. Everything past that entrace costs money, and a lot of it. There were a few booths that were reasonably priced for the work it took to make the items. The food was priced at a ridiculously high amount for what was received. Me and my friend split a turkey leg, for $17 it was dry and chewy. We threw it away. Drink tickets are $1/piece $3-soda/water, $6-Alcohol. Instead of selling single tickets for $3 and having people stack $3 tickets, you have to buy tickets by the dollar. It seems like a waster of paper. My kid had fun, so in the end that's all that matters. But as far as next year goes, we will be finding elsewhere to go."
"Went twice this year and had a blast! Last year was themed for Robin Hood, and this year was themed for King Arthur. There's plenty to do and see!"
