Reviews of The Rutledge
"Outstanding service from our waiter Steve! He was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. Steve truly made our first time experience and my birthday enjoyable and memorable. Will definitely be returning!"
"I had an incredible dining experience at The Rutledge recently, in part made so spectacular by our wonderful server, Steve! He is very knowledge about the menu and helped personalize our experience, providing excellent recommendations. He also took a great group photo and helped us make our friend’s birthday extra special. Would 100% come back for the food and drinks, but also to have the opportunity to have Steve as our server again!"
"We went to the Rutledge on Sunday night. It was only alright. The atmosphere is beautiful. The dinner space and the speakeasy were very chic and modern. Loved the ambiance. However, the food was only okay. Definitely not worth the high price tag. The server was nice but she wasn’t super attentive. I got the Tuscan shrimp pasta. The shrimp was so overcooked and you only got 4 pieces. The pasta sauce was bland. Not a lot of flavor. I tried the mashed sweet potatoes. They were okay. Super whipped texture. The truffle fries were good. Not a whole lot of cheese though. The best part of the experience was the speakeasy. Josh was an amazing bartender. The drinks were wonderful. Really enjoyed that the hostess brought us up there. Overall, the servers, hostess, bartender were really kind and the hostess was super accommodating when we had no control of some of our party not making it on time. The food was only okay. It ruined what could’ve been a great experience. I am also disappointed they didn’t do anything special for the birthday girl when seeing the other reviews that they did for others. The place was beautiful. Maybe I’ll give it another go one day and order something else."
"Steve was a great and helpful server. The truffle fries were exceptional, all I was expecting were French Fries but they were actually very good. We got pizza before our concert and the Spicy Sicilian was great. We arrived early, around 5pm on a Tuesday, and were among the only tables. Looking ahead of time on the website we had planned to just get cocktails, truffle fries and hot chicken sliders before the concert at Ascend across the street. After we were sat at a table and ready to order, we were told Happy Hour only applied to those sitting at the bar. So, we paid 2x+ for the same food, except the hot chicken since it wasn't on the regular menu. Great spot for dinner before a concert at Ascend or Nissan. The cocktail menu is targeted toward females, the liquor selection is decent but definitely priced for downtown. Maybe sitting at the bar would've opened up better options for me. Glad they had Yazoo on tap."
"Fancy upscale restaurant which most of us cannot afford. I went here as it was team dinner . Food is always delicious when its free . The dessert was huge. Chocolate lava cake and the lemon cheesecake were the two options. The salmon with sweet potato sauce was tasty. Chicken with pasta was good but a little bland. The shrimp rolls were juicy and fresh. The cheese platter had a lot of cheese , fruits and meat options. Highly recommend this place if your company is paying for it"
