"The surgeon was excellent. The food service staff were great. The nurse did the best she could, but with 8 patients there is no way she could take care of everyone. We waited all day for PT to come around and it took the manager getting involved for them to show up. Then they could not get ahold of the provider for discharge orders. It’s 6 pm and we’re still waiting for discharge."
"Wish I could leave a 0 for review, been here in waiting room since 6pm its now a bit after 8pm. Glass still in my daughter hand, she still complaining pain.. noone cares this is ridiculous.. blood still covered on hand and no attempt to clean it up or nothing. This is ridiculous! Adding to the uncaring and unprofessional actions this hospital has. After sitting there 3 hours without being seen blood still on hand with glass in it and child in pain we just left to find better service elsewhere. Not 1 time did they check on us or attempt to treat her injury, reminding you we never made it to the back.. been sitting in front lobby waiting for hours. My child blood was on thier hands! Worst hospital ever! Than once we had enough and decided to leave to go somewhere else.. they had the nerve to call my phone an hour later from when we left. So 4 hours you people are crazy! The audacity! I feel so sorry for all patients at this location! Someone needs to investigate this hospital too much wrong going on here. I know alot of health code violations has been broken. And restrooms are beyond disgusting worst than tha gas station restrooms and that's bad! Whomever is the CEO needs to do a check in, very disappointed!"
"Baptist East Hospital need to step us and show more compassion for the patient in the emergency room. I was there with my sister and we were in the emergency room from 10:00 am until 10:15 pm in the waiting room. My concern about this situation is she was weak, vomiting, chest was hurting. I was concern about the fact that she was among other sick people and she was vomiting and we did not know if she had a terrible virus or something contagious an other people's are being expose to the virus. We had on a mask but other were sitting in the room with no mask on an was not told to put on a mask. Even some of the staff was not masked up. The public toilet was nasty. In the emergency waiting area a seat had wet solution in the seat an on the floor where someone could have slipped up. I told the desk nurse but it stayed like that I know for about 1 hour after I told someone about the situation. I know that in the emergency room all patients are top priority but to sit for that long is very unnecessary and she was being admitted to the hospital and the only thing they could tell us at the desk is they are trying to get her a room or we are waiting on someone to come and get her. So I know someone was lying and just trying to keep us pacific. I hope you all can improve your emergency room procedure CEO PAUL CADE. And the employees show more compassion toward the patients. I could tell you more but I think you get others complaints from other people. Also fix your elevators I was stuck in one of your elevators an I was told that it is always breaking down. It is not a very good feeling to be stuck in an elevator for no amount of time and being told to take slow deep breath. You may want to make a surprise visit and check things out CEO PAUL CADE so the sick can get better service doing their time of being I'll. Baptist East Hospital is supposed to be the best hospital. But I will rate it a 2 out of 5."
"My husband was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday around 6 pm, and our experience was quite concerning. The negative aspects are significant. The hospital appears to be understaffed, leading to a chaotic environment reminiscent of a crowded bus terminal in a movie. The ER rooms and lobby were disorganized, with an overflow of sick people and inadequate sanitation. The entrance receptionist to the main lobby was extremely rude. The ER restroom, designated for patients, was unsanitary, with blood on the seats, a filthy floor, and a bloody sink. I could not obtain those photos because my phone was in my husband room and I wanted to run out of there. The ER room still contained the previous patient's disposable gloves and spit bags on the table. Despite my husband vomiting during a procedure, his blanket remained soiled the next day, along with the dirty gown. The room was unsuitable for any patient. The issue extended to the overflowing trash and a lack of attention to basic patient needs. Despite staying overnight, my husband was not provided with lunch nor dinner the next day, and when moved to a new room, he was not connected to monitors for vital signs monitoring, which is crucial for someone with a serious condition on the 3rd floor. On a positive note, the initial ER doctor, Dr. Rende (thank God for you), was exceptional, making swift decisions that potentially saved my husband's life. Additionally, RN Jessica provided excellent care despite a challenging situation. However, significant improvements are needed. I recommend addressing issues with housekeeping, dietary services, and staff conduct. Proper training and stricter cleanliness protocols are essential. Furthermore, incidents of staff mocking patients should be investigated and addressed promptly. It's crucial for the hospital to prioritize patient well-being and overall professionalism. Update day three and he is getting the run around on his health update and has yet to have a meal. They informed him that he would have a procedure but that was earlier in the day and he hasn’t eaten since lunch on the day before. Can someone please get this in order."
"I was in Baptist East for almost 2 months this year. I was very sick for 2 weeks I really was out of it. The nurses took very good care of me. One stands out and I wish I could find her,Her name was Vicki from. She worked all the time in the ICU 3rd floor. The other nurses were good and nice, the lunch lady that came to your room to get your meal list was very nice and the lady that cleaned my room was so sweet I just want to say thank you to all. Merry Christmas. I am still doing chemo but I am in remission. Love to all Debbie Byrd"
