Republic Parking (First Place Parking Garage)

"It's a nice and convenient garage, but, at least on a Saturday, I parked for two hours and it cost the full day's $10. It would have been $3 to park at a meter. I wish I'd known it was a flat rate, but the hourly listings on the way in don't seem to have anything to do with what is actually charged."

"They ripped me off. Sign with details says $2 an hour, $3 for 2 etc, all day $10. They then said that’s the old sign, (nothing was done suggesting this sign did not still apply) and then charged me $10. I was there for an hour. Don’t know if it was the attendant or the parking structure who scammed me, but what can you do? You have to pay or be stuck there."

"Was told by the older woman at the entrance (Miss Tate or Tale?) to park on Level 3 and above and that nothing was reserved. Came back 5 hours later to this note and a boot on my car. Luckily she had already left for the night and the young man working quickly came to remove the boot and told us he hates when she does this. He didn’t ask for any money and apologized several times. He was kind and honest and told us he doesn’t like when she does this stuff. I feel pretty certain she waited until we left and immediately booted the car to get money out of us."
