"The tour was so fun and informative. I will definitely be signing up for another of Laura's tours! And I encourage anyone to do the same. Though I have lived in Knoxville almost my entire life, I learned so many interesting facts about my hometown. You will enjoy yourself!"
"I have done several of the Walking Tours and have enjoyed them immensely. Laura is an expert in her subject matter and very engaging as a a Tour Guide. She does a wonderful job bringing to life all the facts and details, and helps us to to understand Knoxville in all its colorful history and complexity. It is always a very enjoyable afternoon. I can’t wait to go on an another Tour with her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"
"Laura is an awesome story/experience teller! Her historical knowledge is beyond impressive!! Looking forward to taking more of our guests on tours."
"Laura Still was a phenomenal tour guide on our ghost tour of the downtown area (Shadow Side Ghost Tour was the official name when we booked online). Her communication skills are excellent and make her stories engaging and interesting. She even dressed the part with a Halloween costume during our tour that took place a little less than a week before Halloween. We did have a few sprinkles on our tour, but Ms. Still carried on like a true professional through the weather and we continued to enjoy walking and hearing the stories of Knoxville's past. The tour guide has a brilliant setup with a microphone and speaker on a stick that will allow even a huge group the chance to hear every piece of each story even with loud cars booming by the group. Her ability to recall the most specific and interesting details makes the tour unique, enlightening and educational. She was accommodating to the needs of the group on the tour, minding for easily accessible routes for a member of the tour with a dog stroller. Most importantly to me, you can see Ms. Still's passion for the area's history. She seems well connected to many members of the community and these relationships have granted her access to so many interesting (supposedly haunted) parts of Knoxville. Ms. Still is so generous to share the stories of these experiences on the tour! I want so badly to be a Knoxville history buff, but I never make the time to educate myself on all the rich history available to us. I will definitely attend future tours and live vicariously through Ms. Still's stories until I can make that time for my own history lessons! Thank you, Ms. Still and Knoxville Walking Tours, for delivering an entertaining and educational night!"
"Laura is SO knowledgeable about the history of this town. You can see she is emotionally bound to telling the stories of Knoxville. We learned a lot. The walk was very easy and slow paced. It made the stay in Knoxville more enjoyable to understand how and why this town is the way it is."
