"I am writing this review due to the inexcusable experience we had attempting to stay at the Econo Lodge in Rocky Top, TN. We had been driving all day from Orlando, FL. We booked two rooms for the five of us and a dog. I am a grandma trying to help move my daughter and granddaughter who is three years old, move back to Michigan. We booked the rooms online looking at their policy’s assuring that they were pet friendly. When we arrived at the hotel at 9:30pm after driving all day, we were turned away, our rooms canceled and no refund given. This was because my daughter’s dog was 40 pounds and not 20. We were going to be leaving at 6am the next morning and had been on the road for 14 hours. Their website said NOTHING about weight restrictions and they refused to refund for both of the reservations. This lack of professionalism is completely inexcusable. To take an out of town travelers reservation and not issue a refund when they were the ones that canceled the rooms. Knowing full well that we could not stay to try and get our money back. After we contacted corporate in attempt to escalate this and find resolution, the website was updated with weight restrictions. This is inexcusable and buyers beware. "Do not come here. they do not clean the floors at all.if you walk barefoot your foot will be black in like 5 minutes they have many bugs in the rooms like cockroaches and many spiders even in their fridge the “fridge” is terrible it froze all of my food that i had in there the area is a terrible disgusting place and the “cleaning” lady’s don’t even do their jobs they don’t mop they don’t change the sheets which has cigarette burns and do not move the beds they are many disgusting things under there they only came in the rooms to clean only 2 times me and my family stayed there for 5 months because we were building a house the place stinks of weed very very dirty the people there that are supposed to help are very rude and can barley speak english you can hear fighting and yelling most of the days and people were just allowed to walk around with guns out. yeah their prices were cheap and i see why i do NOT recommend coming here the pool was pretty nice that was probably the only good things and it says they serve breakfast they don’t. they also don’t have wifi like they say they do and the area has many people on drugs and homeless people they said they didn’t allow people that lives in the area to stay at the hotel but they do so no i do not recommend it was pretty fun summer tho. also they only give you towels every monday which they didn’t even do that."

"I have stayed here several times over the last 3 years but this last stay was horrible!!! Room 203 has bed bugs!!! As soon as I found them I packed up and left. Called the desk and the manager said well did you call.the front desk so they could check if it really was one? I said no I know what they look like it was bed bugs. I took pictures also!!! He said well oh well. I Will NEVER stay here again. As i was looking back at the reviews for several months it looks like it's been an issue with bed bugs for a few months now!!!!!!"

"Stayed October 28th / 29th. Pros 2 minute walk to cracker barrel Cons What's charged more than the online reservation from their own website. AC in the room took 2 hours before the room was cooled down Hot water for the shower was lukewarm and only lasted 5 minutes The reason for me to leave a review is what happened after I checked out Even though the room was paid for through my bank card, after I left an additional $190 was charged. When I called to ask I was told that was my bank doing a hold. I called my bank and they advised me that it was an actual charge from the motel I called back and asked to speak to the manager and was rudely told to call back tomorrow."

"The room stunk. The sheets had original never washed spots on the sheets. I was assaulted by another guest who had been waiting too long for service. His truck was blocking traffic and when I ask him to move he threatened me ask what I was going to do about it. I was petrified because my room was right by the office so he new where I was. I slept with NO BLANKETS, NO TV because I was afraid he was going to come back. The smell was disgusting. I say never ever again to this location and any other."
