"The stay here was not great. My friend had stayed here previously with a different friend and both of them loved it and highly suggested I go check it out. So my friend and I booked a stay last week for one night, a Friday night. The vibe is exactly what you’d think it would be. Definitely dive-y and definitely a step back in time. But that’s where the expectations ended. We expected to enjoy an evening enjoying the sauna, hot tub and food and bar amenities. We didn’t eat out as we expected the food truck to have offerings. The location is not in an area that has much around it. Somewhat a dark and busy street with no food or bars around. That’s fine, cause this motel has food and drinks. Wrong. The spa was half full, making the keys not work. The sauna would not turn on. The food truck was closed. Even the ambiance was gone with none of the string lights on, no music. It was just a quiet, dark and boring sit in a warm tub. We asked for assistance for the spa and were told that it’s too empty for the jets to work…ok why didn’t you fill it? We asked about the sauna and we were told to just turn it on, when we said it wasn’t working the employee just said “idk I’ve never actually used it.” There was no explanation for why the food truck was closed, on a Friday night not even a weekday! $300 for a motel with shag carpet and a disco ball. Too top everything off, we have sent off 2 emails over this last week and haven’t been able to get a response, very poor customer service."
"We went to The Dive for the day to go swimming. For the low-price of $25 on a Friday, you can get into a pool in the heat of the summer. Keep in mind this is a motel...on Dickerson Road. The pool was full of tattooed hipsters, some smoking, all drinking, so if that's your thing, go for it. If you're a little boujie and you need a clean pool to actually 'swim' in, I'd skip it. The drinks are good! The bathrooms are gross! The staff is super nice! All in all, it was a very fun day!"
