Nite Lite Theatre
About the Business
ated at 500 West Eaton Street in Trenton, Tennessee, the Nite Lite Theatre is a non-profit community theater organization that has been bringing the magic of live theater to Gibson County since its charter in June of 1980. Comprised of a diverse group of individuals from all walks of life, Nite Lite Theatre aims to promote interest in the performing arts while providing educational and cultural opportunities for people of all ages.
Nite Lite Theatre's home base is the Peabody Little Theatre in Trenton, where they present three plays each season for their patrons. Additionally, they participate in various community events and workshops, including Children's Theater workshops and shows at Milan Middle School. The theater also awards an annual scholarship to a Gibson County high school graduate pursuing a degree in the fine arts.
With over 150 shows produced since its inception, Nite Lite Theatre has entertained audiences with classics such as "Guys & Dolls," "Steel Magnolias," and "Fiddler on the Roof." The theater relies on the support of sponsors, donors, and grants to cover the costs of productions, as ticket sales alone are not sufficient.
In honor of Berlynne Holman, a passionate supporter of the arts and instrumental in the establishment of Nite Lite Theatre, the Peabody Little Theatre will be renamed The Berlynne Holman Theater. Berlynne's dedication to theater and the arts has left a lasting impact on the community, and her legacy continues to inspire the work of Nite Lite Theatre.
