"My husband and I delivered our first baby at Baby+Co last week; it was the best experience any mom could ever imagine! The tender care of each midwife and nurse at the prenatal visits and on the night of delivery made it that way. Previously, we had a miscarriage and the Baby+Co team helped us through it. They cared about me and followed up to make sure I healed well. Then, a few months later we returned when we were expecting again; they welcomed us back and treated us with the same superb care. Even with COVID keeping us from being able to go in for every visit, the midwives took time at each video call visit to hear and address our concerns as well as keep us informed. That was true all the way through the pregnancy and postpartum visit afterwards; we love the team at Baby and Co. Some highlights were the birthing classes, which really helped us be prepared for the entire journey, and the different options they had for positions in transition and delivery (They made the delivery smooth and gave relief.) Personally, the hot water bath and hot shower were my favorite. We appreciated the coaching from Rebecca, Margaret and Crystal; they consistently coached and encouraged us throughout the entire delivery. My husband definitely agrees that this is the perfect option for our baby deliveries, even though we live 35 min away. We highly recommend Baby and Co to anyone wanting a natural delivery."
"I delivered my first child at Baby Co this spring and I really don't know where to begin. My husband and I were interested in a natural birth, but didn't feel comfortable doing a home birth. We took a tour at Baby Co and decided that this was what we were looking for! The rooms and environment there are so peaceful. The staff is extremely nice and informative, the prenatal care and birth was affordable, and it has Vanderbilt for backup in the event that we might need to transfer. It allowed the feeling of a home birth, but the safety of a hospital right next door. We saw the midwives for all of our prenatal care. I think what I really enjoyed the most was that most of my appointments went an hour long (I always have a million questions) and I never felt rushed. The midwives always took the hour to answer my questions, hear my concerns, reassure me, and cherish all the moments along the way (like hearing her heartbeat for the first time). I generally feel like doctors are in and out and onto the next patient...but not here. I felt genuinely cared for by each midwife. My daughter didn't want to come out on her due date. She decided to go 41 weeks and 6 days. The midwives knew how important a natural delivery was to me and one midwife actually cried with me during one of my later appointments when I was frustrated that we may have to be induced later that week. I felt like all of the midwives really cared and connected with me. I was fortunate to not have to be induced, but little girl was cutting it close! Our delivery was so beautiful and I can't imagine it going any smoother. We got to the birthing center when we were almost to transition and immediately made a big bath. We spent an hour and a half pushing in the tub and my little girl finally came out. My midwife was calm and reassuring the whole time. It was like she knew exactly what I needed to hear to keep pushing and stay in control. While I had personally prepped with Hypnobirthing courses and attended the Baby Co childbirth education classes, the actual birth experience was still unexplored territory for a newbie like me. I felt safe to explore moving around in different positions, trying different sounds and tones to vocalize while pushing, and free to eat/drink when I wanted. They put her on my chest immediately after she was out and didn't remove her for the first two hours. I really appreciated that they respected those first few hours and were so encouraging of skin to skin and breastfeeding. My husband and I were able to share the queen size bed and cuddle with our new baby for a few hours before going home. I really loved that we could all crawl in bed together for those first few hours. It was just so awesome.Giving birth was definitely intense, but I've never felt more proud and empowered in my life than when I gave birth. I don't know that I could have had the same experience in a hospital setting. I can't recommend this place enough. They work with all different types of birth (hospital deliveries too!). We will definitely be going back for baby #2 (if I can get my hubby on board for a second lol). I'm so thankful birthing centers like this exist. I will forever cherish the birth of my first child, and words can never fully express how thankful I am that Baby Co exists. I highly recommend people check this out and go for a tour. You don't have to be interested in natural birth to deliver here."
"Loved our experience at Baby and Co.! Once I found out I was pregnant, I began the search for a place to deliver. Being a first-time mom, I was a little nervous about doing a home birth, but I wanted to stay out of the hospital. Finding out that there was a birth center in Nashville gave me my happy medium! Not only is Baby and Co. super inviting, but it feels more "homey" with the caring and friendly midwives and nurses, the relaxing and spa-like birthing suites, and the diffusing of essential oils throughout the building. The care that you receive here is fantastic and you don't feel like "just a number", but instead as family. Every prenatal appointment was at least 30 minutes if not more, and they were willing to listen to every concern and address any issues asap! The birthing classes were also great preparation for both me and my husband and I felt a lot more confident in bringing home our baby afterwards. The delivery of our baby went according to plan, without the use of an epidural, and I was able to labor in pretty much any position I wanted to (and I used about 10 different positions throughout the 16 hour labor). The midwives that helped me deliver our baby (Alys and Heather) were incredibly helpful and even helped coach me through my breathing. I couldn't have done it without them and I will definitely be going to Baby and Co. when we decide to have baby #2!"
"We had an incredible experience at Baby + Co. from the prenatal exams, labor + delivery to the wellness exams post baby. It was a comfortable environment where I felt at home each time I came to visit. The staff is so so kind and knowledgeable. We will most definitely have our next at Baby + Co. if we can."
"My wife and I delivered our child at Baby and Co and it was a night and day difference with our experience with our first birth at the hospital. Our first birth was a rough experience and even pretty traumatic for my wife, so there were nerves going into this next one. Leading up to the birth: We felt very taken care of throughout the entire process leading up to the actual birth. Even though this was our second birth, we went to four birthing classes and were really impressed with how much it helped us going into our second. Different midwives led them and we loved it! Actual birth: 5 out of 5 stars! We had Margaret for the birth and from the point of view of the person that wasn't having to focus on pushing out an 8lb human, she was truly an artist with her ability to help keep my wife calm and the timing of when to try different positions. This place felt like a nice hotel and after the birth, my wife commented on how comfortable she felt opposed to our hospital experience. All in all, we both highly recommend this place. We plan on having more kids and will definitely be having them here!"
